The theme for Cute card Thursday challenge is music, you can interpret it anyway you wish, a song title, musical instruments, musical notes! I used my new cowboy stamps to make this card. I used the song title " Like a Rhinestone cowboy" for inspiration and on the card.

Two cards and three challenges!

I added lots of faux stitching and paper piercing as a finishing touch yesterday so it fitted perfectly with the challenge. If you are not adverse to a bargin check out your local Tesco. I got a set of 24 watercolour pencils for 56p and 20 page A4 sketch books for £1.00.

A trio of challenges!!!
The first card I made is for the crafty pad challenge. The theme is romance. Red and black for me is what romance is about! What does that say about me? I adored playing with this card.
The second card is for the Colour create challenge. Aqua and peach. The additional challenge is to make your own flowers. I used an elusive image to make the main flower and put seed beads in the middle of a star brad. The other two flowers are simply made from seed beads.
The final card is for the Daring cardmakers challenge which in celebration of Chinese New Year was to make an oriental card without using red and black. I used some stickers by Penny Black and stamp by elusive images.

Sketch Saturday - Jeanettes sketch
A couple of challenges
Basic Grey Challenge
Two challenges done! Having cleaned this morning and waited for hubby to get back from work, finally got to sit down and do some cardmaking. I won't be first for saturday challenges anymore now hubby is working Monday to Saturday. I made a card for the Basic Grey challenge using stella ruby papers and oriental BG stamps. The challenge was to mix up and use at least 2 BG products. Hope I have suceeded.
The second challenge is the Penny Black challenge for which the theme is Romance. I made this card using my nesties. I created a nestie shape card and then added a red cuttlebug embossed frame. I used an image with a bunch of flowers. I cut away the flowers and then added some roses. I added the sentiment and doodling.

cute card Thursday - Metallics
I think this classes as cute for the cute card Thursday challenge. The metallic element is the chain! I used my new Faith is beautiful stamp from the crafty pad . I used some papers from my stash and some vintage images I had in my stash.. I am terribly excited as I purchased some Gorjuss girl stamps yesterday. Can't wait for them to arrive! My partner got a new job already, having been made redundant last week. Yippee! means I can get more stash and not have to worry that I won't be able to pay it back!!!! I am so relieved. He He....!

Another play with Faith!
My Faith stamps arrived and Couldn't resist a play!
If you haven't already go and check out The Crafty Pad. Debbie has just started selling her Faith beautiful stamps. It is also a challenge blog. I had been following since last year and took the plunge and brought some stamps. I couldn't resist a little play so I made this non generic card this afternoon. Simple but effective I think. My aqua promarkers came too so a double play really!
Whiff of Joy - Donalda's brilliant sketch!

Papertake Weekly - Hearts and Flowers!
I used my sugar nellie stamp by Leanne Ellis for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge. I am sorry I can't stop using her. I am a girl who gets addicted easily! I love her. I made an orange and blue card I used a very basic layout and the hearts are on the backing paper and I framed part of the image with flowers.
For Ladies who love Sugar Nellie!
A spoonful of sugar - sketch
Hello still freezing here in London. School is still closed and so the children have gone to the park with their Dad! I am staying at home to do some crafting. I am so happy with this card. I saw the sketch at Spoonful of sugar this morning and thought how I was going to interpret it whilst in the bath and it looks just how I pictured it. I am trying to cut down on using embellishments as it is expensive and sometimes they become a centrepiece rather than the image. I love this image and it does not really need enhancing too much!

Forever friends - Tall and slim card
Here is my tall slim card for the Forever Friends challenge. I made a baby girl card. I have kept it quite contemporary and fresh. The bear is not that twinkly in real life. My next project should be photography lessons. The light in our flat is terrible for photography. Photos are a hit and miss.
Cupcake challenge -25 colour challenge

My first time at the Cupcake challenge . It is a colour challenge. I love playing with colour so an easy one for me. I hope I met the colour criteria. Clean and simple is the new black so I have tried to keep this just that. I stamped directly onto the card ( how brave was that) and added colour with a mixture of sakura pen, promarkers and twinkling H20 and added some faux stitching. I used a Leanne Ellis sugar nellie stamp. There is a guest DT spot on offer this week.
Sketch and stash #3
Excuse the silicone still drying behind the image.

Forget Dancing on Ice.....!
Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Colour challenge

Okay so it is a colour challenge over at the Magnolia Vs Stampavie challenge . I hope I have forfilled the colours. Having made a circle card for another challenge I had another go as that was a first and I wanted to see if I could do better. I coloured the image (from Dawn ) with a mixture of Marvys and promarkers. I added faux stitching and some embellishments and the sentiment. The image is a Rachel Anne Miller image called mouse hug.
The Crafty Pad Challenge - Embossing
I took the plunge having been following for a few weeks and brought some stamps from The Crafty Pad I however was sent this image by the lovely Dawn (who truly spoilt me,in our swap, I will do a post later of what she sent.)and I decided to join the challenge this week. Check out this site as the cards are really unique. I used promarkers to colour her. I cuttlebugged the base card and added some paper and some ribbon that came attatched to some clothing. I added a little brad to make it like a picture hanging.
Colour Create #1 - Pink, Green and Brown

A new challenge and using one of my favourite things COLOUR. Pop over and check it out, it is called COLOUR CREATE . The colours to use this week are Pink, Brown and green. You can use cream cardstock and flesh colour for body parts or images. You can also use butterflies on your project but this is optional. There is a bumper PRIZE too. I challenged myself to not use a stamp. I managed to not use one. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the greeting and sizzix dies for the butterflies. I also manged to include some beading so I am a well contented crafter.
