Apologies and Sketch and stash!

Hi I want to apologise for my slack response to comment and lack of comment. My computer keeps crashing and won't let me have long enough to comment. Dunno why! I will be back to normal service soon i hope. I have made this card for sketch and stash challenge. I love the sketch at sketch and stash this week ! I used my newish Faith stamps if you click the blinkie for The crafty pad you will find out more about these. The sentiment and the flowers are also some new stash. I dug out some mirrorboard for the cardstock. I also used my new aqua promarkers and my new black sakura glaze pen! I made the pinstripe effect by hand I think it worked well.

Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Colour challenge

This is for the Magnolia vs Stampavie challenge. It is a colour challenge. I have kept it very simple. Half term tomorrow so have to think of lots to do this week. The baby is getting a tempreture so tomorrow will be visiting the doctors first thing!

2 briefs and one card!

Okay this card has a story to tell. I think she is a chic model who has roots in South London. She has seen the sinister, dark side of modelling. But she has come through that with some grit and determination, lived her dream and is now a top super model who has been to Paris, Milan, New York!!!
The two briefs ,as unfortunately I haven't got time to tell the rest of my imaginative story! We would be here for hours believe me and you!!! The challenge over at is a recipe. Two brads, some ribbon and ripped or torn somewhere. The challenge at colour create is to use Red, white and blue with an added extra of using travel of some form.

Daring Cardmakers and Basic Grey challenges

Okay I managed to fit 2 into 1 for this card!!! I used Basic Grey and Daring cardmakers challenges to make this card. Basic grey challenge was to use hearts so I made this heart flower with stella ruby papers. I stamped them with a magazine freebie heart stamp into a flower and cut it out and added a gem brad. Daring cardmakers challenge was to use as much green as possible in your card. I didn't do the double dare which was to make a get well card. I used turquoise and green and grey for the swirls and green paper for the heart flower. So simple but effective I think?! I am feeling a bit scared tonight as last night there was a rat on our second floor landing!! The council refuse to come and see to it over the weekend. Wonder if we stopped paying the rent for the weekend, they would mind. Anyway not seen one so far tonight!! Will have to wait until Monday morning to get it properly sorted.

One busy saturday!!!!!

What a week!!!! I am hoping that we will be moving soon. We are going to view a house next Tuesday. Literally down the road!!! I am just hoping this time it is okay. I believe it will happen. I am also really saddened this morning to read the news that Jade Goody (who comes from Bermondsey, where i live.) is terminally ill with cancer, especially as she could of been diagnosed with it a lot earlier than she was. It is so sad for someone who really hasn't had the best of lives. I hope she can spend some quality time with her young family. It must be very hard to come to terms with. Please if you pray spare a little thought for her and her family.
Anyway I have been a busy little bee and made some cards and a tag for some challenges. Scroll down for the relevant challenge.

Penny Black Challenge is a sketch. I added some faux stitching and a peel off greeting.

Saturday Sketch Challenge. I used my cuddlybuddly stamp which I think is just the cutest. I spent many years working with horses so I have a soft spot for a cute pony!!!

Tag You're it challenge . The theme is love. I used my Leanne Ellis stamp I cut her out and added some paper roses and a charm for her to hold. I kept traditional with the colours of Love red, white and black. I made the background with two stamps, embossing powder and glimmer mists. She is coloured with promarkers!

Cute card Thursday!

The theme for Cute card Thursday challenge is music, you can interpret it anyway you wish, a song title, musical instruments, musical notes! I used my new cowboy stamps to make this card. I used the song title " Like a Rhinestone cowboy" for inspiration and on the card.

He He Post number Three!!!!

This card is for the Sugarbowl challenge. The challenge is to use one piece of patterned paper. I used a piece of paper from my Papercrafts crafters companion CD rom. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the bottom part of the card. I used blue versafine ink and blue hues for the card. I used blues and circles as my personal challenge for the card. I am really happy with the end result. Great stamp to work with this one as it has endless possibilities. Check out the challenge there is over £50.00 of prizes to be won!!!

Peace at Last!!!

Hello again another post today and I expect I may fit one in later! I have not heard from schools so I take it my son is okay!!! My other son who is just 11 months hated the hospital and was quite hard work yesterday. My man had an MRI scan today which was fine and he is off work so I have sent him shopping and to pick up the babes. So about an hour and a half to blog away!!! I have just done this card for the Whiff of Joy challenge recipe. 3 patterned papers, 2 Flowers, 1 button or brad. I have used one paper as a layer, one paper as ribbon and the other paper to make my flowers. I used a gold brad with a pearl sticker gem.

What a Wednesday!!!!

My son woke up yesterday and could not get out of bed!!! So when he finally got off the bed we got ready and went to take two children to school and my son to the doctors. I was sent from the GP to casualty. Here my son was given an x-ray to his hip and blood tests followed by an ultra sound scan!!! He had fluid around his joint so the doctor firstly wanted him to stay in overnight however the orthopedic doctor said he could come home with a follow up next week. I spent from 10 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon in hospital with him. He went to school this morning walking much more easily!!! So not much crafting done I did however make my card for the arty girlz challenge, which is flowers. Here is hoping today is a lot more simple! Hope you like it! Thanks for taking the time to read and look at my blog I am deeply appreciative!

Two cards and three challenges!

Challenge one is Cupcake cards . The challenge here was to create a scene. I have used Faith is beautiful from The crafty pad (see blinkie at side, click on it to get there.) I created a bedroom using some cuttlebugged card as the wall paper some papers as the floor and some squares of patterned card to make some canvases on the wall.

Challenge Two is and three is The challenge at Papertake weekly is a fab sketch by Dawny P. I then used it for the challenge at Spoonful of sugar which is doodling. I added lots of faux stitching and paper piercing as a finishing touch yesterday so it fitted perfectly with the challenge. If you are not adverse to a bargin check out your local Tesco. I got a set of 24 watercolour pencils for 56p and 20 page A4 sketch books for £1.00.

A trio of challenges!!!

Hello I have been inspired by all the lovely comments that I receive from my fellow bloggers and I therefore decided to spend a little bit longer on my cards this weekend. It pays off I think as I feel I have found a bit of mojo that had gone awol! I have been to church and we had a great guest speaker today. I have cooked the Roast dinner, left the washing up for hubby! I made one card for the DCM challenge last night and the others this afternoon. Just waiting for some glue to set and then I can take a piccy.

The first card I made is for the crafty pad challenge. The theme is romance. Red and black for me is what romance is about! What does that say about me? I adored playing with this card.

The second card is for the Colour create challenge. Aqua and peach. The additional challenge is to make your own flowers. I used an elusive image to make the main flower and put seed beads in the middle of a star brad. The other two flowers are simply made from seed beads.

The final card is for the Daring cardmakers challenge which in celebration of Chinese New Year was to make an oriental card without using red and black. I used some stickers by Penny Black and stamp by elusive images.

Sketch Saturday - Jeanettes sketch

Hello again. My pirate has just returned from his friends party!!! so I am knicking sweets out of the party bag! He he!!! I have made this card for the sketch saturday challenge. I want to be less fussy on some cards so I used coredination card and no patterned papers for this. I used the gorgeous Daisy I coloured the other night. I cut her down to make a change from using the whole image. Great sketch and fun had.

A couple of challenges

Basic Grey Challenge

Two challenges done! Having cleaned this morning and waited for hubby to get back from work, finally got to sit down and do some cardmaking. I won't be first for saturday challenges anymore now hubby is working Monday to Saturday. I made a card for the Basic Grey challenge using stella ruby papers and oriental BG stamps. The challenge was to mix up and use at least 2 BG products. Hope I have suceeded.

Penny Black challenge

The second challenge is the Penny Black challenge for which the theme is Romance. I made this card using my nesties. I created a nestie shape card and then added a red cuttlebug embossed frame. I used an image with a bunch of flowers. I cut away the flowers and then added some roses. I added the sentiment and doodling.

Beaded ring

Here is another ring I have made. Photography needs some attention sorry guys. Any tips greatly appreciated. I needed to bead it a bit more tightly too.

Friday Sketchers

I made this card for Friday sketchers this week. I decided to use papercraft and stamped some swirls. I used my nesties to create a frame for the flower. I enjoyed making this as it involved minimal effort.

Tag you're it and one of my rings!

This week over Tag You're it at the challenge is a sketch by the lovely Kath. I have made it using my free stamps from Cardmaking and papercraft. You get 6 clear stamps I have used 3 on this tag. Check it out. I used my new watercolour pencils to colour in then I sprayed on two shades of glimmer mists. I then added an eyelet.
I made a beaded ring. This is the first one I have made in about 8 months.

cute card Thursday - Metallics

I think this classes as cute for the cute card Thursday challenge. The metallic element is the chain! I used my new Faith is beautiful stamp from the crafty pad . I used some papers from my stash and some vintage images I had in my stash.. I am terribly excited as I purchased some Gorjuss girl stamps yesterday. Can't wait for them to arrive! My partner got a new job already, having been made redundant last week. Yippee! means I can get more stash and not have to worry that I won't be able to pay it back!!!! I am so relieved. He He....!

Another play with Faith!

I did this little quickie with Faith from the crafty pad too. For details of where to get Faith please read post below as I added the link there. Alternatively click on the blinkie in my sidebar.

My Faith stamps arrived and Couldn't resist a play!

If you haven't already go and check out The Crafty Pad. Debbie has just started selling her Faith beautiful stamps. It is also a challenge blog. I had been following since last year and took the plunge and brought some stamps. I couldn't resist a little play so I made this non generic card this afternoon. Simple but effective I think. My aqua promarkers came too so a double play really!

Whiff of Joy - Donalda's brilliant sketch!

Oh wow Donalda I loved this sketch . It was awesome to play with. Pop over and check out this sketch at Whiff of Joy challenge blog . I have made a birthday card can never not have enough of these!!! I used my new trimmer to make the edges a bit edgier. I coloured the stamped image last night so this morning I had a play with my papers and embellies. I am really pleased with my effort.

Papertake Weekly - Hearts and Flowers!

I used my sugar nellie stamp by Leanne Ellis for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge. I am sorry I can't stop using her. I am a girl who gets addicted easily! I love her. I made an orange and blue card I used a very basic layout and the hearts are on the backing paper and I framed part of the image with flowers.

For Ladies who love Sugar Nellie!

Go and check out the Sugar Nellie blog for the a preview of the most yummy Gorjuss Girls stamps. Even if you don't love sugar Nellie stamps go and have a drool! I promise you will not be disappointed!

A spoonful of sugar - sketch

Hello still freezing here in London. School is still closed and so the children have gone to the park with their Dad! I am staying at home to do some crafting. I am so happy with this card. I saw the sketch at Spoonful of sugar this morning and thought how I was going to interpret it whilst in the bath and it looks just how I pictured it. I am trying to cut down on using embellishments as it is expensive and sometimes they become a centrepiece rather than the image. I love this image and it does not really need enhancing too much!

Forever friends - Tall and slim card

Here is my tall slim card for the Forever Friends challenge. I made a baby girl card. I have kept it quite contemporary and fresh. The bear is not that twinkly in real life. My next project should be photography lessons. The light in our flat is terrible for photography. Photos are a hit and miss.

Cupcake challenge -25 colour challenge

My first time at the Cupcake challenge . It is a colour challenge. I love playing with colour so an easy one for me. I hope I met the colour criteria. Clean and simple is the new black so I have tried to keep this just that. I stamped directly onto the card ( how brave was that) and added colour with a mixture of sakura pen, promarkers and twinkling H20 and added some faux stitching. I used a Leanne Ellis sugar nellie stamp. There is a guest DT spot on offer this week.

Sketch and stash #3

Hello crafters, I have made this card for number Sketch and stash challenge number 3. It is using my fairly recently aquired whiff of joy stamp. I thought she was very appropriate ,for the chilly day! I also used some papers from my stash, some coredinations card, my cuttlebug and some ribbon from the stash. The sentiment is an elusive images one. Oh and nearly forgot I coloured her in with my new H2o's. I am awaiting some new stash but it looks like the postie never got to work this morning boooooo!
Excuse the silicone still drying behind the image.

Fun in the snow!!!

Here we are having a fun time in the snow! Honestly. I am smiling!!!!

There are no hills (well not that we could get too) in London so had to improvise

Wish i could get out and play!

Next target!!!

Forget Dancing on Ice.....!

It is cars on ice outside my block of flats here in london!!!! Blizzards all sorts and us soft southerners are just not used to it!!! Brrrr I must say though the dim council forgot to grit the roads DUHHH!!!! Already seen a mini pile up! Off to ogle some more.

Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Colour challenge

Okay so it is a colour challenge over at the Magnolia Vs Stampavie challenge . I hope I have forfilled the colours. Having made a circle card for another challenge I had another go as that was a first and I wanted to see if I could do better. I coloured the image (from Dawn ) with a mixture of Marvys and promarkers. I added faux stitching and some embellishments and the sentiment. The image is a Rachel Anne Miller image called mouse hug.

The Crafty Pad Challenge - Embossing

I took the plunge having been following for a few weeks and brought some stamps from The Crafty Pad I however was sent this image by the lovely Dawn (who truly spoilt me,in our swap, I will do a post later of what she sent.)and I decided to join the challenge this week. Check out this site as the cards are really unique. I used promarkers to colour her. I cuttlebugged the base card and added some paper and some ribbon that came attatched to some clothing. I added a little brad to make it like a picture hanging.

Colour Create #1 - Pink, Green and Brown

A new challenge and using one of my favourite things COLOUR. Pop over and check it out, it is called COLOUR CREATE . The colours to use this week are Pink, Brown and green. You can use cream cardstock and flesh colour for body parts or images. You can also use butterflies on your project but this is optional. There is a bumper PRIZE too. I challenged myself to not use a stamp. I managed to not use one. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the greeting and sizzix dies for the butterflies. I also manged to include some beading so I am a well contented crafter.

Lorraine's very generous candy!!!

The ever genourous Lorraine is giving away her third candy of the year so go and check it out!!!!!
