Winter Wonderland - Week #4 I'm dreaming of a Blue Christmas

Hello everyone ,so it is already week 4 of the Winter Wonderland challenges. It has been so delightful visiting everyones blogs and seeing their christmas cards. It is also so good that everyone is having such a good time whilst joining in each week.

we have a fabulous giveaway too which will be sent to one lucky player who's name is drawn randomly - check back next Saturday to find out who!! The kit includes some stamped images of the one's used on Anne's projects this week, including a fabulous snowman stamp very kindly donated by Funky Kits!

This week the team would like to see you use Blue in your christmas projects or cards.

I decided to use my gorgeous sugar nellie stamp to make this card. I brought her with the intention of making christmas cards. So here is my first christmas card using her.
I am into making scene cards at the moment so here is a little christmas scene. I used a brayer to make the night sky and window. I masked off the frame and the moon and then used blue inks on my brayer to ink the sky. I then used a snowflake stamp inked with versamark to create snowflakes in the ink. The versamark takes the ink away.
I then made some mini curtains using some linen that I coloured with fabric pens. Then I stitched them with my sewing machine, a good way to practise stitches. I made a curtain rail from card and gems ,to hang them on. I added a christmas backing paper as the wallpaper and a strip of card as the skirting board and pale blue paper as the carpet. I placed my girl walking past the window to place her present under the tree.
Can't wait to visit all your blogs to see your christmas creations.

Just Magnolia - First challenge

Hello sorry I haven't blogged for a while I have been a bit busy. I have had some great news. In Southwark there is a scheme called Cleaner,Greener, Southwark which is an opportunity to put a bid forward to make an area more attractive and enviromentally clean and safer. Well I have had my bid for gardens for those above ground floor shortlisted. I have never done anything like this before and I wrote the bid very quickly one day on the computer. I am astounded. I have to attend the community council meeting to see if I will get funding for the project. I feel so chuffed to have something I thought of approved.
I had my haircut I will try and get OH to take a piccie later when I am made up for the wedding to show you all. I have had the two girls done too. I painted the nails blue. I am dressing casual smart.

I used the sketch at Just Magnolia by Donalda. I love this sketch I flipped it. I used Edwin as I need to make some boys cards. I used fresh spring colours.

Truely scrumptious - sketch

A gorgeous sketch you must take a look at the Truely scrumptious challenge this week. I love the layers. I wanted to use another of my Dotties world ( available at charmed cards and crafts ) downloads. I am going to give this to my sister who has a birthday next week. I fancied the distressed look for this sketch. I coloured in my image (from the Holly and Madison download) I then chose my papers from the paper mania simply elegant colossal paper pack. The images are just so cool. I added some flourishes made using my sizzix dies and some bling! Oh I have just noticed I didn't forfill the card for a child criteria DOH!!!!!!!

3 in 1 card!

I have made this card for 3 challenges Papertake weekly has a theme of pastels so I chose pastel colours of green and yellow. A spoonful of sugar asks us to use die cuts so I used my sizzix flourish die cut for my embellishments at the side of the card and added some white mulberry paper flowers. I used my fabulous new download (over 60 images included) from charmed cards and craft for the Dotties world challenge that also asked us to use no patterned papers and to create our own background. With the scene I created I did not want to overshadow it with a cluttered background ,so I simply added some yellow backing paper and some cuttlebugged card and made the flourish. I hope this card meets all the different criteria set by the challenges. It is my first card made using this set of downloads and I loved using them and highly recommend them.

Cute card Thursday - Marshmallows and chocolate

Out came the Miss ANya stamps for the cute card Thursday challenge which is pink and brown. I used HOTP papers and made my own flowers with my sizzix dies. Bit short and brief today. Hubby just rang and is peeved as the car is gonna cost £900 to fix which is just not on! Can anyone recommend a good make of people carrier to buy. We have a Chrystler grand voyager which is very expensive to run! I said at that price we may as well invest in a new car with some of his redundancy.

Whiff of Joy challenge

Hello I have had a good day up until I got home!!! I went to the shops and we stopped at the park. Met a friend in the shops who said they were going to the park too so I went back to the park and bumped into 5/6 friends. Like buses don't see any for ages then they all turn up at once. A couple hadn't even seen Max ( he is 13 months this week)!!!

Well we came home and as I was just about to make lunch the door went it was the building officer man from the council, he just turned up no appointment how unproffessional is that. Anyway he says that we must put all our stuff in storage we must pay for it ourselves and then the repair men will come, hello I pay my rent so I am entitled to have you repair my home, I have four kids I can't put all the stuff in storage just to make it convenient for you. Where are we all supposed to sleep. Are they super thick or what!!!!! Perhaps I should stop paying my rent and see what they think then. Oh sorry guys have to get it out better out then in! As you can see by my writing I find it hard to take a pause whilst speaking!!! You have to be a good listener to be mates with me, which I am sure yous all are!

I made this card for the whiff of joy challenge . I used my whiff of joy guardian angel stamp, I love her! I used inks to colour and distressed around the edges.

All is forgiven and Basic Grey challenge

He redeemed himself he brought me pie and mash from Manzes on Tower bridge road .... if you come to London this is the bestest pie and mash shop I have been to. I have been to one in Tooting, one on brick lane and a few around Bermondsey, where i now live and this is by far the best. Pie and mash is not the most exotic food but it is hearty and filling on a day like today. I like chilli vinegar with mine. My eldest son is flaked out on the settee he has a temprature and he says his head hurts. A virus is the diagnosis if you go to a medical proffessional. I have made this card for the basic grey challenge ,which is a sketch. I used my new copic ciao's and I prefer them to promarkers so will be investing in some more so I can improve my technique. I used the two scoops papers and I used stella ruby paper too. I seem to keep on using this image from the whiff of joy spring collection she is just endearing for some reason. We are gonna have a big clear up now to get ready for the inspector!!!

Cute card Thursday!

Ooh you can tell it is half term I am a day behind with every challenge. I hate being late. I am always an hour early to meet someone of for an appointment. I think it was because I arrived into the world 3 weeks late! Don't want to miss out on anything. Anyway drifting off the point a bit. Here is my card for Cute card Thursday challenge. My first Easter card. I struggle with pastel colours unless it is for baby cards. I am more into Autumn and Winter colours and I can do brights as I love colours that clash. The white edging was just trying out a different way to use the images. It gives it a more comic or storybook look. Kind of childlike I think. I love the girl she looks like she could be praying whilst she is picking the flowers on Easter morning with the little chicks hatching around her!!!

Please click on the picture to see in more detail. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look.

Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Colour challenge

Okay so it is a colour challenge over at the Magnolia Vs Stampavie challenge . I hope I have forfilled the colours. Having made a circle card for another challenge I had another go as that was a first and I wanted to see if I could do better. I coloured the image (from Dawn ) with a mixture of Marvys and promarkers. I added faux stitching and some embellishments and the sentiment. The image is a Rachel Anne Miller image called mouse hug.

Colour Create #1 - Pink, Green and Brown

A new challenge and using one of my favourite things COLOUR. Pop over and check it out, it is called COLOUR CREATE . The colours to use this week are Pink, Brown and green. You can use cream cardstock and flesh colour for body parts or images. You can also use butterflies on your project but this is optional. There is a bumper PRIZE too. I challenged myself to not use a stamp. I managed to not use one. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the greeting and sizzix dies for the butterflies. I also manged to include some beading so I am a well contented crafter.

Magnolia v Stampavie - Double Trouble

I have made this card for the Magnolia vs Stampavie challenge. I have not used these Sarah Kay stamps for a while. I decided to use one as the main image and one as a shrink plastic charm. I love black and apparently blue is this seasons colour so I used a lot of blue. I cuttlebugged the black coredinations card with some border embossing folders and then I sanded it. I used papermania papers. I really loved making this card. I am starting to improve on my colouring so I feel more inspired in creating images that I am proud of. I coloured the shrink plastic with coloured pencils and promarkers.

Kazans sketch #17

This is my take on the sketch on 2 sketches 4 you I have purchased some dies and cardstock and papers in the sales ,so I thought this was perfect to try them out. The Basic grey papers are from the Eva pad and are delightful. I used some chipboard letters and covered them with the paper and this is the first time I have done this. A great sketch!

Magnolia meets Stampavie challenge - Thank You sketch

Hi hope you all had a good weekend! This is my entry for the Magnolia meets stampavie challenge . It is a Thank you sketch and it was lovely to work with. I had coloured this Tilda earlier in the week. As some of you know I have become a bit obsessed recently. I created a background to the frame using stamps from The English Stamp company. I coloured in the frame with my black promarker as it did not match the papers originally. I used papermania papers and I added a Thank you sentiment as your card must be a Thank you card. I did some paper folding to make the bunch of flowers. I also cut a strip to cover the paper join using my cuttlebug and my sizzix die. I cut out a daisy and used some stickles to add interest.
