A spoonful of sugar!! - sketch

Great sketch for the challenge at A spoonful of sugar this week. I made this card may use it for an emergency Easter card should I find I have not made enough. A friend has asked me to organise a card making evening so I am going to be preparing for that over tonight and tomorrow. She wants us to make an Easter card so I have several ideas in mind. It is a mixture of ages and abilities so I will probrably keep the card quite simple. It will be a practise of my abilities to teach crafting so I am kinda looking forward to it. Harry came home fine from school so my fretting was not necessary.

Papertake Weekly - 123

This is for the papertake weekly challenge which is to use a recipe. The recipe is 1 circle the ribbon slider, Two ribbons, and three stamped images. loved the challenge right up my alley. Feeling a bit down as I really let rip at my son today, he just pushed a little too far and now he is at school and I feel really down as I shouldn't of got so angry. Have to make it up to him tonight.

Cupcake challenge - sketch

I used the cupcake challenge sketch for this Easter card. I don't have that many to make and I have nearly finished them. I used my Anya from Rock the farm set of greeting farm stamps. The background farm is by high hopes stamps. I added some letters from cosmic cricket and I used BG papers. I paper pieced the paper onto the farmhouse. I also used a cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the circle.

Diamond Pop up Anya Easter card - Sketch and stash

Hello there! Well, I have had all the babes with me today ,as the older two had inset day. I went to see the teachers and boy did the kids do well!!! The eldest especially ,she is excelling all expectations. The teacher put her in the top maths set to see if she could meet the challenge and apparently she did more than meet it. So Proud!!! She also did wonderfully in her writing test I am just brimming with pride. The teacher was mesmerised by her perfectly written story. My boy is doing well too just needs to perfect his writing ,still plenty of time as the teacher pointed out. I am going to treat them to Super Mario cart as a treat for making me the proudest mummy!!!!

Here is my card for the sketch and stash challenge . I used my new pretty hat Anya and one of the accessories is a rabbit, so handy at this time of the year. I used a new fold to me the diamond pop up fold. I think that the sketch is beautiful, simple and versatile. I had lots of ideas floating around on seeing it. I slightly rotated the sketch to make the card so I hope this counts.

High hopes challenge - Creative edges

The high hopes challenge is to use creative edges. I have brought background stamps ,mostly from high hopes as they are so versatile with other brands of stamps. I used this farm background and used a monochrome scheme. My creative edges are the faux stitching, the torn coredinations card and the scalloped edges. I think this makes a great card for a male.

Magnolia vs Stampavie - colour challenge

It's a colour challenge at Magnolia vs Stampavie challenge . I used Tilda and paperpieced her and my whiff of joy stamp ( basket). I am into making little scenes so I added the bench too. I scalloped the edges of the card with a template I kept the matting and layering minimal as the colours are quite dramatic. I added Happy Easter as I thought this would make a good original easter card

The Crafty Pad Challenge - Spring

Hi the challenge over at the crafty pad is to make a spring card you don't have to use the crafty pad stamps but if you do you will be entered for the prize. I used the butterflies with verse set which I coloured with sakura stardust pens. I used a template to make the flower which I coloured with copics. I added gems and a sentiment and a nestibility label to add some shape. I used a template to make a little wavy edge too.

Colour Create - Lilac and blue

Hello again the kids and Jimmy are at a local museum called The Horniman it has a lovely garden ,a great aquarium, some farm animals and a musical section and some stuffed animals and a section on africa. It s free except for special exhibitions. The challenge at colour create is to use Lilac and blue. So I got my glimmer mists out and created a swirly background ,for my gorjuss girl to sit in, Swirls is an optional extra. I also cuttlebugged some swirls. The other optional extra is ribbon.

Penny Black spring meets Basic Grey sketch!

Morning all I have had a great morning watched the Grand Prix ( Go Team Brawn!!!) in bed, whilst Jimmy ( he hates motor racing I have been brought up on it, my dad met Graham Hill years ago.) got the kids sorted. Just had a coffee and breakfast and made a card! What more could a knackered mum of four want..... Well a huge house in the country, lots of dosh, babysitters, diamonds the list is endless ( no I am happy with my lot and my health, honest).

I have met the criteria ( I hope) for two challenges. The first challenge is Penny black which is to make a spring card. I combined three stamp companies in the main image, whiff of joy (girl/butterfly), High hopes (gate) and the flowers on the gate and on the bottom of the card are from a penny black stamp. I used the sketch from the basic grey challenge . Oops just looked at the sketch again, I missed out the diamond have already posted it on the challenge blog, sorry! . I used two scoops paper as my bottom layer you can just about see it. The top paper is K&co. The tag is a sticker free in a magazine layered onto card. I wasn't too sure as I was making it but I am actually quite chuffed with the result. I am delighted as it is sunny so Jimmy can take the kids to the park whilst I get crafting. He He!!

This shows you the dimension.

Hope you are not bored of my gates that open. Kinetic cards are all the rage apparently and I am a kinetic learner so I have lots of fun doing these. Hugs Pascale and thank you for taking the time to look.

Tee Hee I managed to fit a card in!!!Sketch Saturday

Here is my card for this lovely sketch at Sketch Saturday . I love this sketch! I used my rockstar Anya, I used K & co papers and I used musical notes for all the circles/embellies. I paper pieced her dress. The picture is not the greatest but the daylight had gone apologies for that.

No cards yet hoping to get some done later!! Heres the party pics.

A bit of peace and quiet after the bowling, they all ate really well!!!!!

I liked this one as they are laughing about who is winning. Dexter on the left won just beating Harry on the right, after getting a strike.

This one is my eldest and I love that she is crossing her fingers as she is watching the ball. In the background is Enrique and Liam.

This is my youngest daughter had to put one of her in!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANDSOME!!!!

Cute Card (well tag this time) Thursday!!

Hello I have made some tags for my sons birthday presents. His Birthday is on saturday. I have spent today getting cakes and party bag bits!!! He is taking five friends bowling and then we . Then we are having a pizza hut. I am so excited. I feel like a kid my self. I wrapped his presents today and made these tags and I am entering them into the cute card Thursday challenge . I used a pirate stamp and a high hopes knight stamp that I got free from Silly monkey crafts as they were late with an order, so kind, and usually extremely effecient.

Whiff of joy - sketch

Hello everyone, I have had a sick child free day today. Yes, all back to school and baby slept for 2 hours this morning. I managed to make a little card for the whiff of joy challenge ,which is a sketch. I flipped the sketch and added a flower in the top corner to balance it out, so I hope it is still okay. I used my new high hopes forest stamp with the whiff of joy spring kit stamp. I stamped my little girl and masked her ,then stamped the forest. Coloured in with copics but next time may use watercolour. I used some Laura Ashely paper and some cuttlebugged distressed card as the background. I used a brown ribbon again just to balance out. I added faux stitching (totally addicted) I haven't added a sentiment as not sure what it will be used for.

My Big boy's birthday card!!!

My big boy (see him in the sidebar) is six on Saturday so I thought i would make his card. He has lots of passions, football (Arsenal), space, airplanes, trains and rock and roll!!! Inspired by club anya's challenge rockin rebel I have adapted Rockstar anya by giving her a haircut and adding the legs of Ian from rock the farm! I also decoupaged the guitar. I hope he likes it!!! I had a blast as I do like to change. I used HOTP plain papers that i distressed with an emery board and added some swirls.

Papertake weekly meets A spoonful of sugar

Hello, I made this card last night for the papertake weekly challenge a Dawny P sketch! I then noticed that a spoonful of sugar had the challenge theme of Easter so this was perfect for this. I used my cute chick from my Mcsplendid Farm set by the greeting farm. I used my new high hopes picket fence and made it so you can open and close the gate. I am a big kid and this just amused me. I added some embellies and papers and the addictive faux stitching. I have my eldest off so I brought her a crayola stamp set which she is busy creating a version of noughts and crosses! She loves colouring in my images that are not stamped perfectly!

Open me up!!

Surprise!

Arty Girlz final challenge meets The Crafty Pad challenge

Hi I have made this card for for the arty girlz final challenge :( , which is stamping and the crafty pad challenge which is making a card for a female. I would love a card like this to pop through my letterbox so I this is my entry. I stamped Faith and then paperpieced the jacket and added some gems as buttons. I coloured her with copics. I stamped with red ink and my new penny black stamp around the edges of her to frame her. I added the same stamp in black this time to the backing paper. I added a layer of card some ribbon and more gems. No sentiment for this one.

Magnolia vs stampavie - shapes

It's so cold again :( I couldn't resist making a circle card for the shape card challenge over at Magnolia vs stampavie . They are really pleasing to my eye at the moment. I used my new Sarah Kay image, so cute. I used the colour combo green, pink and brown and a hint of purple too. I used papermania papers and copics for colouring in.

Colour create - Lime green, turquoise and navy

Hi this week Colour create challenged us to use no patterned paper as an optional challenge and the colours Lime green, Turquoise and navy on our cards. I used my new sugar nellie stamp. I made the background from part of my Ian greeting farm stamp and a greeting farm sentiment ( both are rock the farm). I then cuttlebugged some navy card and cut it into bubbles. I added the sentiment I used in the background and added a few gems. I think it works okay not 100%.

A poignant mothers day!

I have received this award from two of my lovely blogging friends Joey and Sue , who I hope to meet up with in September as I can't meet them in April. I am passing it right back to these two and Lorraine A , Kim and all my followers. I love all the comments you leave on my blog each and everyone makes my day! I have had a lovely day, i got flowers, body shop goodies, and a lovely pizza by the river with a large glass of red wine!!! I am feeling a little sad as where we park the car is outside Jade's mum's block of flats as we were walking back to the car it dawned on me, not only have the boys lost their mum on mothers day, a mother has lost her daughter and a grandmother her grandaughter, how will they ever be able to enjoy mothers day again. My youngest daughter was born on mothers day and it was so joyous and so I can only imagine how they will view this day with pain. A new light is in heaven peace be with you JADE! I hope that her family will find some peace in the fact she will save millions of lives in the future through her raising awareness of this awful disease. My mum collapsed when I was 3 weeks old with womb cancer and she really thought she was going to die, I was raised until I was 9 months old by another family. I still have my mum she is 67 and strong.

Club Anya Rockin Rebel! Tonight I'm going to be Amy Winehouse!!!

Hi a late one for me. I have made a card for the club anya challenge which is to make a rockin rebel out of all your greeting farm stamps. I made the most current British rockin rebel Amy Winehouse. I used Angel Anya and Ian from Rock the farm. I used the hair from Ian and Angel Anya for Amy's famous beehive and Angel anya for the rest of her. I made her into the cover of Rolling stone Magazine as she has been on the front cover. I took inspiration from her album title "Back to black" and used just black and white. If you have some Anya or Greeting farm stamps check out the challenge as it is real fun and the other entrants and the Design teams are all fab!

Sketch saturday!

Hello again I know I wasn't supposed to be about today but I still have a couple of hours spare so I made this. I coloured in the image last night so don't think I am supersonic or anything. I used a high hopes well and sugar nellie stamp for the image. I used K and Co papers. The sketch is from sketch saturday .

Basic Grey - Texture

Hello this is a really quick one as I am going out later so can't do too much cardmaking. I coloured anya in last night and added some gems for her necklace so this is really appropriate for this challenge. I also added some ribbon to the card and accent gems to the card and dog. I kept it to a minimum but still there is a sense of texture. I used the "Eva" Basic Grey papers .

Sketch and Stash

Another fabby sketch at sketch and stash this week. I had another play with my new stamps by the greeting farm, which are rock the farm and Mcsplendid farm stamps. I collaged the characters onto paper and then decoupaged them. I think it is quite effective. All my embellishments are new ones too. The papers are HOTP. I flipped the sketch as it worked well for this image.

Cute card Thursday! Recipe

Hello I had to make a card for a friend who gave me a lift home from the hospital on Monday following my son's little trip there. He is slowly getting better thanks to you all for your lovely messages! I really appreciate your words. I have brought a bottle of Rose and I made this using the Cute card Thursday recipe.

*Something torn
*4 ( only ) embellishments
*2 papers

I tore my blue hotp papers to make the river. I added a dragonfly, saftey pin, handmade hook and line and an extra fish as my embellishments. I used my K and co scrap paper to make some reeds. I doodled a frame and coloured it in to make it look like rope. I used my yummy greeting farm stamp Ian (rock the farm set). I know Katie ,who is Julians husband ,loves to reuse my cards so I just added the sentiment Just a note to say, this means it remains a versitile card.

Papertake weekly, spoonful of sugar and truly scrumptious

Okay i have used three challenges for this card. I used the sketch from Truly scrumptious and the bling is the gems which is the requirement for spoonful of sugar challenge too. A bit ambigious but I used the egg and the buckets of milk as my food elements for papertake weekly . Colouring not fab as it was a first attempt at masking anya and the fence. I am going to have to go on a shopping spree for some more anya's she is too cute!!!

Whiff of Joy - Green

Hello I am really happy/ sad. My boy is not recovering very well. Really wheezy again today may have to go docs tomorrow. I am happy cos the surveyor came round and he is going to try to persuade the council to move us so his firm can carry out the works to be done in the flat. He was really helpful and prooved to me that my sanity had not flown out of the window. You know when you think oh maybe it is me and there really is no problem. Works that had been done previously were very incorrect!!!! Anyway all that rambling here is my card for the challenge at whiff of joy , their is a lovely prize of the new guardian angel stamps so if you have time join in.

sketch saturday meets Basic Grey challenges

I have made this card for two challenges one is the sketch from sketch saturday and the other is Basic grey challenge. The challenge at basic grey is to have all round edges not an angle in sight.
The image is crafters companion I wanted to be non cutsie for this one. I love cutsie at the moment though so I am certainly not knocking it. I am looking forward to a lovely hot and sour soup and crispy duck takeaway this evening!!!!! I have not decided yet if I am going to try one more card or not.

Penny Black challenge - sketch

Well so much for a crafty day!!!!! I have been having a good clear out of the kids room. I have had to take down the curtains and pull out a lot of stuff. The balcony above is leaking and causing a lot of mould. No wonder we are all poorly! I will stop moaning. It just helps to vent it when you are getting angry ,I promise I am not seeking sympathy. This is my entry for the Penny Black challenge. I used recess papers by Basic Grey and I coloured with copics and a white gelly pen. I used buttons to embellish. I am on my third load of washing too!!! Grrrr!!!!!

Friday sketchers

Hello I have made this for the sketch at Friday sketchers . I find this image quite hard to colour so that was my challenge to me. I love the HOTP vintage papers so I used these and kept the colouring along the vintage theme. A really simple sketch but that is sometimes harder to interpret. I loved this weeks sketch. I am feeling rather strange as one of my brood is missing. She is at brownie camp until sunday. I know she loves going so I am not worried, this is her second one. I hope she is not too cold or ill or missing us, who said I am not worried.
