In A Sweet Pea Dream - Ribbons and Bows

Hi just been playing this afternoon with this image that I coloured in a couple of weeks back. I have decided to enter her into the ribbons and bows challenge over at In a Sweet Pea Dream.
The image is one of the Phunky Pharies from Brigid Ashwoods collection available at Sweet Pea Stamps. She is called Margox.  She is coloured with promarkers and copics and sakura stardust pens. I then paperpieced her dress.
I have added a gem to the dress too. I used papers that will be released shortly at Pascale's PAD. I used silver cardstock which unfortunately creased on folding  so apologies for that. I used some polka dot ribbon from my stash to complete my card.
I am just resting up still as the back is still a bit poorly but hope to be back on top form real soon. Enjoy your day everyone xxx

In A Sweet Pea Dream -

Hi I have been a very slack blogger this week. I have been resting up the back and not been on the main computer just my laptop to check my email etc. Thanks for all your well wishes xxx
I have been busy crafting but knitting instead of cardmaking. I have really enjoyed learning some new stitches and techniques with a knitting board I think this will keep my interest in knitting going as I find the patterns easier to follow.
I received a delivery from Lynette of some Sweet Pea Stamps I ordered in November and I had to colour in this beauty from Meredith Dillmans sheet 2 Plate #87. Wow this blows me away such a mesmirising image. I coloured her with cosmic shimmers and sakura stardust pens and  then I outlined with white gel pen. I  matted and layered onto some co-ordinating card. I used some backing papers from my blog shop Pascale's PAD called Valentines Rose Collection. I then added some ribbon from my stash a hand made floral embellishment and some corners made using a corner punch and cardstock.
I am entering this  card into the In a Sweet Pea Dream Challenge that is Anything goes x

Ouch my back.....!!!

Morning 1 More sleep till Father Christmas comes....! I have had an eventful few days I took my youngest to the doctors to get some medication for his excema and to get some cream for me. I came out with antibiotics, piriton and cream for Max and a cream for me. I went to the chemist to get the meds and I joked with them that I only get ill at Christmas. The next morning there I was cleaning the bathroom and as I came up from being bent over the most excruciating pain took over my body.
Ladies who have had back labour for 12 hours non stop that is the kind of pain I mean. I felt like I could not move. I managed to get to the pain relief in the cupboard and then set about trying to get help for the kids as I was immobile. I now completely sympathise with anyone suffering with this kind  of problem.
I am on some pain relief now so feeling a bit better. I have managed to get half a scarf knitted too.
Anyhow enough about me here is my card for the DELICIOUS DOODLES CHALLENGE. The challenge we have set this week is in honour of our amazing BOSS Teri who has a favourite colour of Purple. So this week we want to see PURPLE on your entries.
We are as always giving away prizes so hop over and check out what is on offer.
My card is made using the Thank You FREEBIE from the blog. I created a topper in my graphics program using my new release Valentine Rose Collection papers from Pascale's PAD. I layered the image to give some dimension.I added some faux stitiching and some handmande paper roses(my first atttempt so they are not perfect).

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

Hello again another post from me today with another Challenge card. This time for one of my favourite challenges Mo's Digital Pencil who have a fantastic theme of Fantasies and Fairies. There are a huge range of images available at Mo's Store that are so suited to this theme!
I chose this gorgeous image They grow so fast. I coloured him with promarkers and copics and mounted onto coredinations card. I printed the sentiment directly to card and added some gems.
I have left some pictures of the snow in London in my previous post for today I hope you are all safe and snuggly and warm xxx
Just off for some fish in parsley sauce with mash now and then rushing to get my son to a sleepover. Have a lovely evening/day xxx

Penny Black Recipe

Hello there it is freezing here in London. We had a good 5-10 inches of snow falling in just over two hours yesterday. My partner had to come home from work after just two collections as the weather and driving conditions were so atrocious. I have included a couple of pics from our flat to show you how heavy the snowfall was.
This is my card for the Penny Black Challenge this week they have a recipe which is to use 3 Design Papers. I have used my new 2011 Spring Colour Collection Teal/Brown for this card. I paperpieced the flowers using three of the DP's that you can find HERE. I extended the image to cover the shape I cut with a Nellie Snellen Die. I then used coredination card and one of the same DP's to matt the image onto.
The second part of the recipe is to use a 1 Ribbon and the third 1 Charm. I added just a few gems to the centre of flowers.

A Floral Tealight Gift card

They say a little of what you fancy does you good.... well I fancied making a shedload of Tealight Gift cards for the school teachers this year so I am sharing this one with you all today. This one is made using the gorgeous Delicious Doodles Image Gladioli. Teri of course has lots of floral images available over at the store so please go HERE to check them out.
To make my card I used coredinations cardstock. I used the fantastic Tealight gift card tutorial over at Whiff of Joy tutorials. I used my Martha Stewart punches to create the corners and the borders on the card. I used some ribbons and roses from my stash and I used K&co papers. I didn't want too much going on as the image is so beautiful. I printed out the image after changing the colour to purple on my graphics program. I then cut it out with a nellie snellen die and added distress inks.
This fits four standard tealight candles so is a great gift. I know lots of people I am making them for this year.

The current challenge is still running over at the Delicious Doodles Challenge blog so if you have time we would love to see your creations there.

I am a daft old thing...

This morning I got up at 6.00am got the kids up and dressed by 7.00am. What is wrong with that I hear you ask. Loads. I dropped my middle two at school at 7.40am and dashed off to catch a bus with the eldest and the youngest to a local secondary school. I was thinking as the test was cancelled last week due to the weather it would be held this week. We got there No test today! I managed to still get back to my daughters school before 9.00am. I am usually so organised. I had in my head it was today but obviously not xxxx
Okay onto crafting now. This is my post for the amazing Delicious Doodles Challenge. I must firstly say Thanks to all of the entrants last week over 100 WOW! It is Team A's turn this week and the theme is a recipe.
1 Image - I used A Slice of cake available here!
2 Design Papers - I used Spots, stripes and hearts bold collection from Pascale's PAD
3 Embellishments - I used 3 different types of embellishments.
Once again Teri is offering some wonderful digis as a prize. You do not need to use a digi from the shop but if you choose too you will be entered into the draw twice. See full details of prizes and rules see the challenge blog.

Here is my card.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Stamping onto anything but white card!

Hi again another Tealight card for you. I have a little production line going for the kids Teachers and TA's he he. I made this one for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. There challenge is to stamp onto anything other than white card so I stamped onto this coredinations card with black stazon and added some cosmic shimmer to the flowers.
I used some DCWV papers to compliment the tan and teal colour scheme. In my box is a handmade bracelet so there was no need to make a window for the gift. I added some pearls a button and a bow as a finishing touch.

Sketch and Stash

Hi I have made a card for the great challenge Sketch and Stash. I always mean to make one for this challenge and lately I have never got around to it. So this week I have made one on the day the challenge came out to make sure I got in there.
I have used lots of New Stash to make this card. I have used my New Image from DigiStamp Boutique called Murtle and Shelly.
My papers are from Pascale's PAD and are from the Brand New Spots, Stripes and Hearts Bold collection. The sky is an MME paper scrap. I coloured Murtle and Shelly with promarkers and copics and sakura pens and then cut them out and used foam pads to mount them. I added a sentiment that came with a Popcorn Bear set. I added some ribbon and a button and punched a Martha Stewart border.

Here are the new papers you can get yours at Pascale's Pad!

Anyone for Anya - January Birthday Calendar Page

Good  Afternoon, hope everyone is having a great Monday. I have two delicious babies at home as my youngest Daughter, Bradie has an awful ear infection. We have antibiotics though and she seems brighter already. She has been very brave. I am just popping in to show you a January Birthday calendar page I have made for the Anyone for ANya challenge.
I totally love this idea of making a page for each month I will be using mine as a calendar too. I downloaded the calendar template availble on the sidebar of the challenge. I printed onto a sheet of A4 having edited out the holes at the top as I did not want those as part of my design.
I decided that I wanted the theme to be relevant to the month. January is known here in the UK for "The Sales" so this was the main thread for my theme. It is also my birthday so I thought the OH may get a hint from the piccy ROFL xxx
I coloured in Miss Anya and My Guy Ian with cosmic shimmers and H20's hence the shine on the face of Ian and in the boutique. Sorry about the not so great photography but the light is appalling in this weather.
I then made a little scene on my DP which is from Pascale's PAD Valentines Collection. I cut out some of the heart flowers and postioned them onto the white card. I used a Martha Stewart Punch to cut the corners and border. I added some gems for a tiny bit of sparkle.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Glitz and Glamour

Hello again I made this card whilst my daughter who is suffering with earache/infection was sleeping. I coloured the image last night with cosmic shimmers and H2O's. I hope this close up shows you the glitz that they give when you colour.
I used my graphics program to add Diva to her t - shirt. She reminds me of Shirley Temple with her curly hair .
I used some glitter glue on the crown too.
The papers are from Pascale's PAD they are from the Candy floral collection. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch to create my border. I matted the image onto a nestie. I added the sentiment cut using my precious cricut. I think I need to win the lottery and get either the expression or the imagine.
I hope you like this entry for the Mo's Digital Pencil challenge.  The ribbon and gems are from my stash. I used some glitter glue on the punched border and the edge of the nestie for some added glitz too.

Just a quickie post...

I am stopping by to show you my DT card for Keep It Simple I have been up most of the night and nursing a very poorly youngest daughter. I think it is an ear infection as there was lots of gunk coming out and she is complaining of pain in her cheek and her ear and head. I will have to head to the Doctors tomorrow.
I have made my card using this stunning image from the sponsor this week who is Whimsy Stamps. I just adore their digital range from which this image comes from. She is called Little Christmas Angel and is designed by the very talented Crissy Armstrong.
Our theme is Deck the Halls. So I placed her in a  room I created using my cricut to make a mirror. Some Holly Ribbon and gems and the carpet is my own DP from the Holly Collection at Pascale's PAD.
I coloured her with a combination of promarkers, copics and sakura pens.

Sweet Pea Stampers DT card

Hi there everyone it is freezing again today and I am just waiting to contact the school to see if the kids are off again. I think they will be as it is so cold. I don't expect it will be easy for a lot of the teachers to get in either. I have to try and get my daughter to a secondary school test in Westminster which is a good 35 minute bus ride away from us. It is at 4pm so I am not too pleased about it. The local schools here in Southwark have cancelled theres and rescheduled them for next week. Westminster is obviously too posh to cancel although the school in question did cancel there evening play performance. It is not my first choice so I am not losing sleep over it.
I have made this card for our fantastic colour combinations theme over at Sweet Pea Stampers. The theme is Silver, Purple and white. I am also entering this card into the challenge over at In a Sweet Pea Dream who have a theme of "Monochromatic Sweet Pea".
I used the gorgeous Brigid Ashwood Phunky Pharies Cyd she is available HERE! I decided to do a really Clean and Simple card. I used copics and promarkers to colour Cyd and then the shimmer she is walking into is done with a combination of cosmic shimmer and H2o's. I used a stamp from another sweet pea stamps plate for the sentiment. I am really happy with this card and this technique I think it shows off the beautiful artwork so well.
Please  come and join us Lynette has donated 3 gorgeous stamps as a prize once again.

Medium  - Promarkers, copics, cosmic shimmer, H2O's

The Crafty Purple Frog Challenge - Easel Cards or in my case a side easel card!

Morning, brrr very wintery and cold today!! In London we have a covering of snow that is a few inches deep so Lord only knows what it is like out of town xxx I hope you are all warm and stocked up and safe xxx I have my four beautiful babies at home today as there is no school and they are on an authorised absence. I have to take my eldest daughter to a secondary school test so after I have posted this I will be ringing to find out what they are doing.
Okay here is my DT card for the Fabulous The Crafty Purple Frog challenge we have some AMAZING prizes on offer from Crafts and Me and the Crafty Purple Frog so hop over and check them out.
I was watching Create and Craft at the weekend and saw Phil a do crafts demonstrator making an easel card with a difference. It was a side easel card so I thought this would be perfect to make for  this challenge.
I used the beautiful Tulip Pyramage this is also available in decoupage. You will get two cards from one sheet as one is pyramage and one is invertage. Not bad for £2 and you get to reprint as many times as you wish.
As always I printed onto glossy photo paper. I teamed it with some of my own papers from Pascale's PAD called Candy Floral Collection. I used various embellishments from my stash to compliment the colours in the stunning image. The frame is a die from Marianne Designs.
