Simon says challenge and Papertake weekly challenge

Hello I want to share a card I have made using a digi stamp I created yesterday whilst playing with my graphics program. It is the first adventurous one I have done. It is not perfect but I was happy enough with it to create this card.

I used cosmic shimmers from Jazzlins Designs to colour the image. The ribbon is also from Jazzlins Designs. I then outlined the flourish and added some glitter with a glue pen. I framed the image with a frame I made with my nesties and a cuttlebug embossing file.
The papers are some that arrived this morning from the super and very aptly named Quixotic Paperie they are Queen Bee papers and if you like MME and Basic Grey you will love these.
I added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I made the sentiment using a scrap of paper a computer generated wording and I cut out a frame with my nesties and embossed with a cuttlebug folder.
Okay  this fits the following two challenges. It is fun to make some challenge cards as I have missed doing this lately.

Simon Says Stamp: Check it out! They want to see checks used on our creations. I used checked Queen Bee papers.
Papertake Weekly : In Stitches they want us to use stitching on our creations. I used faux stitching on the lower half of the easel card.
Incy Wincy Designs challenge: Things with Wings ( Thanks for the heads up Sarah x)

Let me know what you think of my stamp and thanks for stopping by today Hugs Pascale

I am absolutely loving working with these templates from the Anne Marie Designs Template CD roms. They stand up perfectly and are so easy to go to town with when you are embellishing them. You can get these super duper CD roms from Jazzlins Designs.
This template is called "Bodice" it is from CD rom one. I love it!!!! I think you may see this one poppingup on my blog quite often. The card is about the size of an A6 card maybe slightly bigger when finished. I have used K&co papers. The heart embellishment is from Jazzlins Designs and I added a gem from my stash. The ribbon, star brad and the lace are also from my stash.
I used some coredinations pink cardstock and a Greeting farm Naughty sentiment to finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Hugs Pascale xxx

This week at Tag You're it we have a great theme of Cupcakes Oh my!!! Jazzlins designs and a couple of challenges!!!

Hello I made this card with the gorgeous AnneMarie Designs Template Volume 3 CD rom available from Jazzlins Designs. Currently there is no webshop (work in progress keep watching for news of this) however the great news is you can use mail order by emailing Linda.

I used the Bird house template to make my card. I am entering it into two challenges. Basic Grey Challenge is a photo inspiration I used the colours as my inspiration. The papers are all basic grey. The house I distressed with distress ink the front of the card and then cut elements using basic grey papers and the gorgeous bronze cardstock from Jazzlins Designs. The flower embellishment is a HOTP template and a spacer with a gem added to it. The embellishment I have used as the branch the birds are sitting on is also from Jazzlins Designs.

I also want to enter this into the Simon says Challenge which is You Gotta have friends. This card is for a friend who has a new home.

Thanks for stopping by today and thanks for leaving a comment I appreciate every one hugs Pascale x

I am off for a picnic with my church connect group I am quite anxious as I am leading the bible study today. It is the first time I have done this. Then this afternoon I am off for a recital at my daughters school they have been teaching them the violin and she is playing so I am so excited by this.

This morning I would like to bring you a DT card I made for the Digi Doodle Shops Best Challenge . The challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES. I chose this cocktail image from the Summer Fun Doodles set #1. REMEMBER if you spend $5 you get set #1 and #2 as a FREE GIFT.

I Coloured with Twinkling H20's and added some glossy accents to the glass areas. I added a glass charm at the bottom using wire and a Made with Love charm.. The paper is HOTP and I made the ribbon and button embellishment. I then stamped a Greeting Farm sentiment and added it to the embellishment. Sweet Pea Stampers - Stitching Faux or real or both

Good Morning. I have just returned from a hygenist appointment at the dentist. I am so annoyed as my dentist never told me I have gum disease grrr. I have asked to change the dentist that I have as I am not happy with the service I have been given. My son had to have two root canals as he failed to notice he had hypermineralisation. Anyhow enough of my vanity and disappointment in customer service onto the cardmaking LOL xxx

This week at Sweet Pea Stampers we have a great challenge for you. We would love to see STITCHING faux or real or like me even both. The prize is the gorgeous "Sunflower Angel " and the chance to be our Guest Designer next week.

For my card I used Ching Chou Kuiks Aloha which is currently on SALE Here at Sweet Pea Stamps. Lynette has a new plate of stamps by a  new artist this week Samantha Rawlings who has a cute Manga style so hop over to take a look.

I coloured the image with promarkers and copics the background was done by masking the image and then sponging on some inks. I highlighted the image with a white inksentials pen and added a stamp by Clarity stamps as a border around the image. I then paperpricked the image and stitched around with a pale blue cotton. I mounted the image on to card and I added some more faux stitching. I added a sentiment, button, ribbon and charms from my stash.

So if you own any Sweet Pea Stamps why not join in the challenge with us. We would love to see your take on the challenge.

Thanks for taking the time to visit today I really appreciate it. Hugs Pascale xxx

Tag You're it - Make you're own ribbon embellishment

Morning everyone!!! A very Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there. We have been opening pressies and cards this morning and it has been such fun.
This week at Tag You're it we have been making our own ribbon embellishments. I found my tutorial on You Tube I entered homemade ribbon embellishment and pressed search. I find it much easier to watch someone doing something and  then copy what they are doing. I used various stamps from my stamp box and some embellies from the stash to embellish my tag.
We are having  a Great Tag Swap this month at Tag You're it so hop over there is still plenty of time to get involved.
I was quite daunted by the prospect of making my own ribbon embellishment. Once I got over the fear factor it was actually a very satisfying process

Have a lovely day and thanks for taking the time to come and see my projects. Hugs Pascale xxx

Digi Stamp Tutorial !!!

Hi there I love to use watercolour pencils, H20's, cosmic shimmers, Distress inks and perfect pearls on my creations. Sometimes you need to use a good quality watercolour paper with these so that you get a good quality finish. I wanted to share how I do this with you all. Please link this tutorial should you use it.

Step one :
Create your image. I have used this image from the Digi Doodle Shop. It is part of the Summer Fun Doodle set 1.
I used Serif Drawplus x4 but you could use any graphics program or even Microsoft word. I created an A4 drawing and then inserted my chosen image from my documents file.

Step 2:
You just print the image onto a piece of A4 cheap photocopy paper. Just press print and follow the instructions.

Step 3: Now using masking tape adhere some quality watercolour paper to the image on the cheap A4 photocopy paper. If you replace the watercolour paper with Design paper then you can use digital stamps to paperpiece.

Step 4:  Print the image out again and there you have it.

I am off to watercolour this image for future use.  Please leave a link to any creations that you make using my tutorial I would love to see them. I really appreciate it. All photos used in the making of this tutorial are copyright to My Crafty Heaven. Please do not replicate in any way.

Thanks for stopping by today hugs Pascale xxx

He had a fever Monday and then on Tuesday a rash under the skin appeared on his face and then his arms and legs. Bradie is a bit feverish so maybe she is next xxx

I used promarkers and copics to colour the image. I used MME papers. I used some coredinations cardstock. I used my nellie snedden dies the positive and the negative. I added some raffia from my stash and a few buttons and pearls.

Sweet Pea Stamps Customer Blog Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello there second post of the day  and boy am I excited to share this one with you. I made this one for the customer challenge on the Sweet Pea Stamps blog, I decided to do a shabby chic card using lots of techniques to challenge myself as much as anything.

I stamped the image using Aged Mahogony distress ink onto watercolour paper. Then I used my waterbrush to bring the ink out into the image. I then went over with a bit more ink if I wanted more definition. I then outlined the image with white inksentials ink pen. I then used a Distress crackle glaze over the image. I distressed the sides with my scissors and inked.

I distressed my MME papers with the same distress ink and I added some copper paint dauber too. I added a sentiment from my recent grab bag from the shop. I also added lots of embellishments from my stash.

It would be great to know if you think I have captured that Shabby Chic look. Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate it. Hugs Pascale

Tag You're It - Inspired by.....

Aww did you see the football such a brilliant start for England and such a disaster by the goalie xxx Lets hope we fair better against Algeria and Slovenia hey.

This week at Tag You're it the theme is Inspired by.... We want to who inspires you in your artistic journey with papercraft.

I chose one of the genius artists of the impressionist era. My Mother is French so when I was small we spent a lot of time in Paris. I remember going to the Musee D'Orsay to see an Impressionist exibition and was gobsmacked by the fantastic artwork. Monet Stood out for me as outstanding.

As a teenager in art class we had to replicate "The Lillies" again I was so intrigued. Most recently I attented the stunning exhibition at The Royal Academy. SPEECHLESS!!!

So my favourite stamps are Sweet Pea Stamps and so I used this little beauty Spring Spread to make my tag. I decided to have a play with my copics and promarkers and I used the dotting technique. Loved doing this a real challenge but very enjoyable. I then used the white gel pen to try and create the texture that oils/acrylic would have. I mounted onto some card stock.

The sentiment I stamped seperately glued on and then coloured over. It is a marvellous sentiment. I added some faux stitching some string and spacers with gems attatched.

Inspired by Claude Monet

Cannot wait to see who inspires you. Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it. Hugs Pascale xx

The purple papers I made playing on my graphics programme ( I used a patterns CD rom and added the colour etc myself) The other paper is Linen Closet DCWV. The ribbon is from the stash and the sentiment Papermania. Right I have a lunch date with some girlie friends to go to so I need to pop out to the shops quickly and head over there.

Thanks for stopping by today I really appreciate your time Hugs Pascale

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge

Good Morning to everyone. Dull and Grey again here in London. I have been very busy this week since the children are back to school. Lots of tidying and sorting of things. I don't have much news to share so I will get on with showing you all my card.

This card is for the Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge DT. The theme this week is to use something that ties other than ribbon. So you could use string, raffia, wire, leather, wool, these are just a few suggestions.

There is a prize of 3 digi images from the Store if you win. Remember if you use a Digi Doodle Shop image you get entered twice into the draw.

Judy and Mom have been working hard on new releases so hop over and check them out and if you spend over $5 you automatically get both summer fun sets as a free gift. Also there is 15% off all Fathers Day and Vintage stamps.

I went for the clean and simple look with this one. I used this gorgeous tulips stamp available at the Store.

I coloured with watercolours and layered parts of the image to make them 3D. I then punched some holes and tied some raffia around the base of the image to make it look like it had come from the florist. I layered onto some red coredinations cardstock and stamped a heros arts sentiment directly to the card as a finishing touch. I struggle with clean and simple so I am very proud that I managed it so well.

Thanks for stopping by today I really appreciate it. Hugs Pascale

Tag You're It - Needle and Thread

Hi there I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler temperatures. I like the heat but the last few days have been a bit too hot for my liking.

I am sorry not to have been around. On Friday we decided to go to The Oaks at Epsom racecourse. We drove there in the baking hot sun and arrived only to be attacked by what looked like May bugs or cockchaefers. They were flying and seem attracted to the brand of sun cream we had on.

We started walking from the car park to the racecourse and my daughter managed to tread on the only piece of rusty wire on the whole of Epsom Downs so our trip to the races was promptly halted and a trip to casualty was called for. The second one this week xxx LOL xxx Max is much better now he is breathing much more easily. I was quite worried midweek.

Yesterday we went to Danson Park about 25 minutes away from where we live. It is beautiful there and the kids took a real liking to it. We bumped into Joey and her family there. I was delighted to meet her husband Martin and son Niall for the first time and of course the beautiful baby Ella (who is even MORE beautiful in real life). My daughter Georgina and Joeys daughter Syd get on like a house on fire so they had a great time. It was so lovely to catch up with each other in person.

Okay Jimmy had gone out with the kids this morning and I am just taking a break from the dreaded housework to post this DT tag for Tag You're it. The theme for this week is "Needle and Thread". I decided to stamp this flower from Sheena Douglas and cross stitch in the colour. Not too sure it has worked. The flowers around the crosstitched one are what it should look like. I coloured these with promarkers and added distress ink. All the stamps used are by Sheena Douglas. I added some paper by Basic Grey and some ribbon . We have a tag swap going on this June so why don't you hop over and take a look at all the details HERE.

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge - Buttons

Good Morning, I have had a very short sleep as I had to take my son to A&E last night. He had a wheeze in his chest that was not to my liking. I got there and was seen really quickly. He was given a nebuliser and a steriod straight away. He was given another soon after as they were not too happy with the oxygen levels. He responded well to this one. I was sent home with steriods and an inhaler programme. I must say it is the first time I have travelled on night buses in a very long time. He is doing well this morning but boy can he put up a fight when I have to medicate him.

My sister had her mammogram yesterday and is awaiting her scan before a final diagnosis. I am praying all goes well for this.
This week at Digi Doodle Shops Best Challenge we have a great fun theme of "Buttons". We would love to see you use buttons on  your projects this week.  I have used this marvellous image "Quilt and Rack"  image available at the Digi Doodle shop. I just love this image drawn buy Judy (the store owners) Mom.

I printed this beautiful image onto plain paper at the size I wanted it to be.  I then printed the image onto two digi different digi papers ,that I placed behind the copied and pasted PNG image ,on my graphics programme. I coloured the image with prismacolour pencils and a black pen. I added some detail to the printed quilts with my white gel pen and some glossy accents.
I made a bathroom with basic grey papers and some ribbon to place my image onto. I cut out the image with scissors and a craft knife. I paper pierced my cardstock and added faux stitching. Finally I added a button to which I have tied some string around.

We hope you will be able to join us this week at the Digi Doodle Shops Best Challenge we love visiting all your wonderful projects each week.

Hop over to the store there are some wonderful offers on for the month of June. Take a look below.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I really appreciate all you comments. Hugs Pascale xxx

Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge - Sketch

Hi there what a miserable day of weather we have had. You would not believe that it is June 1st. I had to go and  get a new router as mine packed up yesterday so I had limited internet access. I am hoping to go out for the next few days with the kids and Jimmy as he is off for a week Yay!!!

I watched Child of our time the last two nights and it was so interesting as they looked at personality. I came out with 4.8/5 for openess which means I am a creative thinker who likes to do things there own way. I was low in conciousness which means I find it hard to stick to rules. I was high in all the other catergories. It made me laugh as I have always been one to try and do it my way and I have always felt that bit different to others.

Anyway enought of me here is my card for today. This is for a new challenge that has been set up by Crafters Companion. I have a lot of their beautiful products so have decided to join in.

The challenge at the Crafters Companions Monthly Challenge is a Sketch with an option to use flowers, I chose not too. You can find all the rules over on the blog. I decided to rotate the sketch. I used these gorgeous image from the Cute Companions Summer Stories set. I  Watercoloured the image and decoupaged it. I used some Basic Grey papers and some buttons from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by today Hugs Pascale
