Tag You're It - Needle and Thread
Hi there I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler temperatures. I like the heat but the last few days have been a bit too hot for my liking.
I am sorry not to have been around. On Friday we decided to go to The Oaks at Epsom racecourse. We drove there in the baking hot sun and arrived only to be attacked by what looked like May bugs or cockchaefers. They were flying and seem attracted to the brand of sun cream we had on.
We started walking from the car park to the racecourse and my daughter managed to tread on the only piece of rusty wire on the whole of Epsom Downs so our trip to the races was promptly halted and a trip to casualty was called for. The second one this week xxx LOL xxx Max is much better now he is breathing much more easily. I was quite worried midweek.
Yesterday we went to Danson Park about 25 minutes away from where we live. It is beautiful there and the kids took a real liking to it. We bumped into Joey and her family there. I was delighted to meet her husband Martin and son Niall for the first time and of course the beautiful baby Ella (who is even MORE beautiful in real life). My daughter Georgina and Joeys daughter Syd get on like a house on fire so they had a great time. It was so lovely to catch up with each other in person.
Okay Jimmy had gone out with the kids this morning and I am just taking a break from the dreaded housework to post this DT tag for Tag You're it. The theme for this week is "Needle and Thread". I decided to stamp this flower from Sheena Douglas and cross stitch in the colour. Not too sure it has worked. The flowers around the crosstitched one are what it should look like. I coloured these with promarkers and added distress ink. All the stamps used are by Sheena Douglas. I added some paper by Basic Grey and some ribbon . We have a tag swap going on this June so why don't you hop over and take a look at all the details HERE.
