Challenges, and a grumpy me!!!!

I have been unable to comment on peoples work as my computer is very angry/ unwell!!!! I have been cleaning all morning our flat has mould everywhere and I have to scrub it off. I am awaiting an assessment by the housing inspector. Hopefully he will decide to move us out and we will finally get rehoused. I think he needs a medical so I think next week that is what we will be doing!!!!! I have been able to make some cards and I have been left some surprises by my lovely blog/crafty friends hopefully I will be able to post these later Thanks Sue and Lorraine A check out my sidebar for their gorjuss blogs!!!! So this post will be jam packed ,I am afraid. Scroll down for the relevant challenge it will appear somewhere in this post, promise.

This card is for the saturday sketch. Check out my sidebar for a link to them. When I first saw it I didn't think I would enjoy it. However I loved it!!!! I had coloured in this image the other day and I thought I would use her. I had some leftover 12x12 papers so I used them and it came together like a dream. I am just so happy with this card and I will use the sketch again I am sure.

This card is for the Daring cardmakers challenge again check out the sidebar to find a link to their blog. I have used a gorjuss girl as I had to stamp and colour all of them in on arrival and so have to use them on cards too. The challenge was to use circles. Hope I have done so.

This card is for the Friday sketchers challenge you can find a link to them in my sidebar and I thought this was a brilliant sketch. Gorjuss girl again hope you are not bored of me using them.

Two Challenges with the gorjuss girls!

Hi everyone sorry but I will be keeping word verification on as it is protection from any nasty viruses! LOL! I have made two cards for two challenges. My baby boy took about 7 steps today across the room and he is really solid on his feet!! Really clever as he only started taking the odd step on Sunday! He is the quickest of all mine to walk.

This is for the sugar bowl challenge check out the link in the sidebar and is made using some of the Gorjuss girls! I have made shrink plastic embellishments for my homemade baubles. The background is glimmer mists and stamps. I loved the theme of christmas as it made me think. I have no sugar nellie christmas stamps so I had to be more imaginative.

I made this card for the Cute card Thursday challenge it is for the theme animal magic. Please check out the link in my sidebar. I used a gorjuss girl I love this one and I added the cat which comes with another gorjuss girl but I thought would look cute on this one.

3 cards!!!! Growl computer playing up.

This card is for the Colour Create challenge. The combination is pink and grey and the extra challenge is to add something cute and cuddly. I added the house mouse stamp as the cute and cuddly. I will give it to a little girl born 3 days after my son! I loved this challenge. I am having PC probs so I will try to get to you to comment please forgive me if I don't.

I did this card for the Cupcake challenge challenge which is a sketch and I hope you like it as this really was a play and developed as I was doing it. Boys cards are hard and I just went with the flow.

This card is for the challenge. This one was a sketch too. I used Tilda and some bright spring papers. I handmade the embellishment.

Two challenges and two cards!

Okay so card number one is for the challenge and I used Faith is beautiful stamp. I love this stamp. It is simply beautiful. The challenge is to follow the sketch. I hope I have done it justice. I decided to be quite girly this week. Debbie who owns the crafty pad has some Teddy bear stamps and butterfly stamps out to pre order if you click on the link you will find them. She has some blog candy to give away to. I have to get around to entering that to! Gosh I am so behind these days.

This second card is for the Basic Grey challenge. The challenge is colour combos, I picked blue and brown. I used the " granola" papers. I love this image at first when my new spring collection whiff of joy stamps arrived i thought that this would be my least favourite yet I seem to used it lots. I love all of them equally. We have been shoe shopping today but really I should of been on a exercise binge, boy did I eat a shedful of food at The Chicago Rib shack yesterday. I loved every morsel of it. We got some toys in Harrods, the kids adore the toy shop there. I have been shoe shopping today over in Charlton that was surprisingly, a hassle free trip. I also brought some t-shirts and bits and bobs for the kids. Hubby got a lovely jacket! I have an award to post from Sue so I will try and do that later. I am becoming a slacker recently but just seem so busy. I think having four babies has something to do with it. Thanks for taking the time to look really appreciate it, hugs Pascale :)

Right this will be my last post today as i am off out with the kids. Have a fun day everyone and I will catch up with you laters!!!!

Friday sketchers

Hi had a bit of a good day. Kids doing what they should do instead of having to be told. How long will it last? Perhaps it is the temptation of Harrods and Chicago Rib shack tomorrow that is doing the trick! I have done this very pink card for the sketch at Friday sketchers . I wanted to use my new stamps from Whiff of Joy but I wanted to try and use her differently. So I chose pink as my theme. Off to view another house shortly so I hope this is the one!

Cute card Thursday!

Ooh you can tell it is half term I am a day behind with every challenge. I hate being late. I am always an hour early to meet someone of for an appointment. I think it was because I arrived into the world 3 weeks late! Don't want to miss out on anything. Anyway drifting off the point a bit. Here is my card for Cute card Thursday challenge. My first Easter card. I struggle with pastel colours unless it is for baby cards. I am more into Autumn and Winter colours and I can do brights as I love colours that clash. The white edging was just trying out a different way to use the images. It gives it a more comic or storybook look. Kind of childlike I think. I love the girl she looks like she could be praying whilst she is picking the flowers on Easter morning with the little chicks hatching around her!!!

Please click on the picture to see in more detail. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look.

Whiff of Joy - Guest DT challenge!

Finally, yippee, my Whiff of Joy Spring stamps arrived so I can enter this weeks special challenge. The prize is a guest DT spot for the Whiff of Joy design team. Pop over to Whiff of joy challenge , to find out all the details and get some inspiration and of course Katharina's sketch. I thouroughly enjoyed opening the stamps and my 8 and 3 year old daughters did to. My 3 year old has coloured in two designs already! I would of entered hers but she went over the edges a bit.
So, finding it hard to pick which stamp to use, I finally decided on the boy stamp. It is so cute and I love the little log so chose that for him to sit on. I used a granola basic grey paper and I cuttlebugged some card with my argyle embossing folder to compliment the argyle on the boy's top. I made my own sentiment tag. I also used some beautiful teal ribbon with the new style bow that is so popular, right now. I did not embellish as it is a male card and some of my elements are in themselves embellishments. I wanted to keep the card as close to the sketch as I could.

New Challenge - Truly Scrumptious

Good evening all, Just finished this little card for the new blog challenge Truly Scrumptious . I used a new stamp isn't she just so cute. My daughter said is she an indian princess so now she is known as that in our house. I followed the sketch from the challenge. I kept it very much on the sketch not much playing around. I added some stamped tee pees to the brown paper and i added loads of faux stitching as I am so into that at the mo. I also added a brad to the bow. A first go at this stylee of bow. Bit sad where are my new whiff of joy stamps hope they have not been delivered to the wrong address. So many people have been playing with theirs!!!! Boo Hoo!! Have a lovely evening I am off to comment on the other cards and then off to have a bath and relax for 10 minutes before hitting the sack!

Arty girlz challenge #73 - Wire

Here is my Utee, wire and bead pendant! I made this for the Arty girlz challenge which is to use wire. I have had a hetic day. We spent 1 and a half hours on a bus journey of 2 miles, for my sons follow up appointment for his hip. Everything is fine just need to keep an eye on it. I bet you who do not live in London are not in the slightest bit jealous when you hear stories like this about public transport. We didn't take the house as there was a lot wrong with it. I am okay as I must be certain we want to stay somewhere before taking anything! Lost myself in making my pendant. I beaded beads in no particular order onto wire and made two hearts from them. I then added some UTEE to my melting pot. Did you see Suze Weinburg and Tim Holtz on QVC very inspirational. I then added some blue and red pigment once the UTEE had melted. Poured it onto baking paper and then added a heart biscuit cutter and quickly added the wire hearts. I crop a diled a hole and added a wire jump ring and silver chain.

I will be back to normal service soon i hope. I have made this card for sketch and stash challenge. I love the sketch at sketch and stash this week ! I used my newish Faith stamps if you click the blinkie for The crafty pad you will find out more about these. The sentiment and the flowers are also some new stash. I dug out some mirrorboard for the cardstock. I also used my new aqua promarkers and my new black sakura glaze pen! I made the pinstripe effect by hand I think it worked well.

Magnolia Vs Stampavie - Colour challenge

This is for the Magnolia vs Stampavie challenge. It is a colour challenge. I have kept it very simple. Half term tomorrow so have to think of lots to do this week. The baby is getting a tempreture so tomorrow will be visiting the doctors first thing!

2 briefs and one card!

Okay this card has a story to tell. I think she is a chic model who has roots in South London. She has seen the sinister, dark side of modelling. But she has come through that with some grit and determination, lived her dream and is now a top super model who has been to Paris, Milan, New York!!!
The two briefs ,as unfortunately I haven't got time to tell the rest of my imaginative story! We would be here for hours believe me and you!!! The challenge over at is a recipe. Two brads, some ribbon and ripped or torn somewhere. The challenge at colour create is to use Red, white and blue with an added extra of using travel of some form.

Daring Cardmakers and Basic Grey challenges

Okay I managed to fit 2 into 1 for this card!!! I used Basic Grey and Daring cardmakers challenges to make this card. Basic grey challenge was to use hearts so I made this heart flower with stella ruby papers. I stamped them with a magazine freebie heart stamp into a flower and cut it out and added a gem brad. Daring cardmakers challenge was to use as much green as possible in your card. I didn't do the double dare which was to make a get well card. I used turquoise and green and grey for the swirls and green paper for the heart flower. So simple but effective I think?! I am feeling a bit scared tonight as last night there was a rat on our second floor landing!! The council refuse to come and see to it over the weekend. Wonder if we stopped paying the rent for the weekend, they would mind. Anyway not seen one so far tonight!! Will have to wait until Monday morning to get it properly sorted.

One busy saturday!!!!!

What a week!!!! I am hoping that we will be moving soon. We are going to view a house next Tuesday. Literally down the road!!! I am just hoping this time it is okay. I believe it will happen. I am also really saddened this morning to read the news that Jade Goody (who comes from Bermondsey, where i live.) is terminally ill with cancer, especially as she could of been diagnosed with it a lot earlier than she was. It is so sad for someone who really hasn't had the best of lives. I hope she can spend some quality time with her young family. It must be very hard to come to terms with. Please if you pray spare a little thought for her and her family.
Anyway I have been a busy little bee and made some cards and a tag for some challenges. Scroll down for the relevant challenge.

Penny Black Challenge is a sketch. I added some faux stitching and a peel off greeting.

Saturday Sketch Challenge. I used my cuddlybuddly stamp which I think is just the cutest. I spent many years working with horses so I have a soft spot for a cute pony!!!

Tag You're it challenge . The theme is love. I used my Leanne Ellis stamp I cut her out and added some paper roses and a charm for her to hold. I kept traditional with the colours of Love red, white and black. I made the background with two stamps, embossing powder and glimmer mists. She is coloured with promarkers!

Cute card Thursday!

The theme for Cute card Thursday challenge is music, you can interpret it anyway you wish, a song title, musical instruments, musical notes! I used my new cowboy stamps to make this card. I used the song title " Like a Rhinestone cowboy" for inspiration and on the card.

He He Post number Three!!!!

This card is for the Sugarbowl challenge. The challenge is to use one piece of patterned paper. I used a piece of paper from my Papercrafts crafters companion CD rom. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the bottom part of the card. I used blue versafine ink and blue hues for the card. I used blues and circles as my personal challenge for the card. I am really happy with the end result. Great stamp to work with this one as it has endless possibilities. Check out the challenge there is over £50.00 of prizes to be won!!!

Peace at Last!!!

Hello again another post today and I expect I may fit one in later! I have not heard from schools so I take it my son is okay!!! My other son who is just 11 months hated the hospital and was quite hard work yesterday. My man had an MRI scan today which was fine and he is off work so I have sent him shopping and to pick up the babes. So about an hour and a half to blog away!!! I have just done this card for the Whiff of Joy challenge recipe. 3 patterned papers, 2 Flowers, 1 button or brad. I have used one paper as a layer, one paper as ribbon and the other paper to make my flowers. I used a gold brad with a pearl sticker gem.

What a Wednesday!!!!

My son woke up yesterday and could not get out of bed!!! So when he finally got off the bed we got ready and went to take two children to school and my son to the doctors. I was sent from the GP to casualty. Here my son was given an x-ray to his hip and blood tests followed by an ultra sound scan!!! He had fluid around his joint so the doctor firstly wanted him to stay in overnight however the orthopedic doctor said he could come home with a follow up next week. I spent from 10 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon in hospital with him. He went to school this morning walking much more easily!!! So not much crafting done I did however make my card for the arty girlz challenge, which is flowers. Here is hoping today is a lot more simple! Hope you like it! Thanks for taking the time to read and look at my blog I am deeply appreciative!

Two cards and three challenges!

Challenge one is Cupcake cards . The challenge here was to create a scene. I have used Faith is beautiful from The crafty pad (see blinkie at side, click on it to get there.) I created a bedroom using some cuttlebugged card as the wall paper some papers as the floor and some squares of patterned card to make some canvases on the wall.

Challenge Two is and three is The challenge at Papertake weekly is a fab sketch by Dawny P. I then used it for the challenge at Spoonful of sugar which is doodling. I added lots of faux stitching and paper piercing as a finishing touch yesterday so it fitted perfectly with the challenge. If you are not adverse to a bargin check out your local Tesco. I got a set of 24 watercolour pencils for 56p and 20 page A4 sketch books for £1.00.

A trio of challenges!!!

Hello I have been inspired by all the lovely comments that I receive from my fellow bloggers and I therefore decided to spend a little bit longer on my cards this weekend. It pays off I think as I feel I have found a bit of mojo that had gone awol! I have been to church and we had a great guest speaker today. I have cooked the Roast dinner, left the washing up for hubby! I made one card for the DCM challenge last night and the others this afternoon. Just waiting for some glue to set and then I can take a piccy.

The first card I made is for the crafty pad challenge. The theme is romance. Red and black for me is what romance is about! What does that say about me? I adored playing with this card.

The second card is for the Colour create challenge. Aqua and peach. The additional challenge is to make your own flowers. I used an elusive image to make the main flower and put seed beads in the middle of a star brad. The other two flowers are simply made from seed beads.

The final card is for the Daring cardmakers challenge which in celebration of Chinese New Year was to make an oriental card without using red and black. I used some stickers by Penny Black and stamp by elusive images.

Sketch Saturday - Jeanettes sketch

Hello again. My pirate has just returned from his friends party!!! so I am knicking sweets out of the party bag! He he!!! I have made this card for the sketch saturday challenge. I want to be less fussy on some cards so I used coredination card and no patterned papers for this. I used the gorgeous Daisy I coloured the other night. I cut her down to make a change from using the whole image. Great sketch and fun had.

A couple of challenges

Basic Grey Challenge

Two challenges done! Having cleaned this morning and waited for hubby to get back from work, finally got to sit down and do some cardmaking. I won't be first for saturday challenges anymore now hubby is working Monday to Saturday. I made a card for the Basic Grey challenge using stella ruby papers and oriental BG stamps. The challenge was to mix up and use at least 2 BG products. Hope I have suceeded.

Penny Black challenge

The second challenge is the Penny Black challenge for which the theme is Romance. I made this card using my nesties. I created a nestie shape card and then added a red cuttlebug embossed frame. I used an image with a bunch of flowers. I cut away the flowers and then added some roses. I added the sentiment and doodling.

Beaded ring

Here is another ring I have made. Photography needs some attention sorry guys. Any tips greatly appreciated. I needed to bead it a bit more tightly too.

Friday Sketchers

I made this card for Friday sketchers this week. I decided to use papercraft and stamped some swirls. I used my nesties to create a frame for the flower. I enjoyed making this as it involved minimal effort.

Tag you're it and one of my rings!

This week over Tag You're it at the challenge is a sketch by the lovely Kath. I have made it using my free stamps from Cardmaking and papercraft. You get 6 clear stamps I have used 3 on this tag. Check it out. I used my new watercolour pencils to colour in then I sprayed on two shades of glimmer mists. I then added an eyelet.
I made a beaded ring. This is the first one I have made in about 8 months.
