The Sugar Bowl challenge

Hi there this is a card I made last night / this morning. I loved the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl this week so I decided to join in. The extra challenge was to include lace. I used my sugar nellie Leanne Ellis stamps from funky kits. I coloured them with prismacolours and then I used a copic pen and some distress ink for the background. I punched out the images before I coloured them. I added a black border and used some black card in my matting and layering. I added some papermania papers and made a sentiment with rub on and black card. I added some embellishments from my stash and thats it done.

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and please don't forget we are having a hop over at winter wonderland so please go and have a look lots of candy on offer all you have to do is join us and leave comments on all the DT blogs x

What a cold but beautiful day here in London. The sun is blazing and I managed to complete this card I started yesterday for the Totally Papercraft challenge . This is a new challenge and has been put together by a group of crafting friends. The theme therefore is Friends. My best friend is my fella so I made a card to reflect this. I hope you like it.

I coloured in the new Romantic Popcorn bear image from Crafters Companion with prismacolours. I used some freebie MME papers from a magazine. I added a Martha stewart punched border and ribbon from my stash. There is a blog hop on the Totally Papercraft blog too. I am off to do that in a minute.

Mo's digital Pencil Challenge - Shades of grey

A really quick post as I have a few jobs to get done before I collect my babies from school. I made this card for the Mo's digital pencil challenge . Oh wow go and check out their DT samples they are gorgeous.

I used this window seat image that i grabbed as a freebie. She is just like my daughter for whom I have made the card. The papers are DCWV and the image is coloured with warm and cold grey promarkers. I hope you like it.

New digital challenge and New blog where you can get free digi images

Good morning to everyone. Today I have taken my little girl to the fracture clinic and it was good news. She will heal well and it will not affect the growth of the bone in anyway. We are to go back for a check in two weeks. Well that done I came home and finally our bathroom is looking as it did when we moved in. The builders finised the work today.

Okay I have a lot to tell you today. Firstly I have entered a new digital challenge. It has great prizes to give away and a great challenge.

The blog is called Digital ink challenge .

The image is by Mo Manning digital pencil

Simon says stamp - New Baby

The challenge at Simon says stamp this week is to make a card or project for a new born baby. I made this new baby card. The image is by Victoria Case it is stunning and beautiful to colour. It is a digital image. I used promarkers to colour it. I used Nesties to cut it out and frame it. I used MME papers and the sentiment is Whiff of Joy.

I am growling a bit today as I am waiting for the builders to come and mastik the bath and repaint it following the little episode last week. They should of come by now I have to go to the shops and feel like a square peg in a round hole.

I am also entering it into Papertake weekly for which I used the sketch. I am entering it into a spoonful of sugar which has an open theme.

I used DCWV rockstar papers. The image is by pollycraft designs and is a digital image from the cherry gardens frames section. A cool image I think. I used some flowers and ribbon from my stash.

Winter Wonderland DT - My first sketch!

Hello and a very bleary eyed good morning to you all. I was hoping to catch up on my sleep last night after the unscheduled trip to casualty on Friday night, however the leak in our flat is being caused by a connecting waste pipe so it has spread to the flat below the flat below us. So last night that neighbour kept coming up and insisted a plumber came so at 11.00pm I was letting the plumber in to look under our bath. Still it was all done with a big smile on my face. I wonder what number 3 is, ha ha my luck is not to good at the moment.

I am off out for a belated birthday meal today with my family as we were supposed to go out yesterday but due to my daughters broken collarbone we didn't make it.

This week at Winter Wonderland there is a sketch by me (my first attempt) to follow.

I used my slice machine to create a frame. I stamped the silent night image (Papermania) and placed it behind the frame. I used Cosmo cricket papers. I stamped a corner, sentiment and a snowflake directly to the paper. I added some lace as a finishing touch.

I just wanted to let you know that next week at Winter Wonderland we are hosting our first ever blog hop, there will be lots of candy available.

Basic Grey - Use an animal

Hello I have still not had my afternoon rest following yesterdays fiascos of the neighbours getting flooded and my princess breaking her collarbone. The leak has gone into the neighbour below us and below them. A brand new building and it is already falling apart. My thanks go to all of you for your kind wishes for my little princess. She is a lot better having had a good rest today she does not want me to remove the sling as it hurts to much not sure if that is a good or a bad thing.

I made this card this afternoon having brought the special digi image from Whimsy stamps . I hope you can pop over and download the image as all proceeds go to Haiti.

I am entering this card into the Basic Grey challenge which is to use a animal in your project.

I used Prismacolours to colour the image and then a bit of gelly roll pen. I wanted to capture the carousel look when they don't look perfect a well travelled carousel.
I used cupcake papers I thought they worked so well with the image. Some gingham ribbon and buttons from my stash.

Jewellary for a change - And Haiti candy offer

Hello I am one tired bunny. My daughter who is 4 decided it would be fun to roll off her bed and in the process break her collar bone ,last night. I rang NHS direct and they suggested it wasn't broken as she could move her arm. I had this with her leg when she broke it. She must have a high pain threshold like me. I rang an ambulance and even the ambulance men thought it wasn't broken. Mothers instinct told me otherwise. Boy oh boy it was well and truly broken on the xray. The triage nurse and the ambulancemen both said it wasn't broken as they had pressed it and she did not scream. The doctor after 4 hours waiting felt it and said it was broken straight away. Not sure if I am explaining all this very well. Exhaustion!!!!

I made this beaded ring with swaroski crytals and seed beads this afternoon to give to my mummy as I have not had time to get her a birthday gift. I hope she likes it.

Please can you pop over to Crissy's blog as there is fab candy if you follow her candy rules and donate to Haiti. There is a link in my sidebar.

High hopes challenge - Space colours

High hopes challenge this week is to use Space Colours. I used my new High hopes stamps from Bunny Zoes Craft shop . Ordered and delivered the next day thanks Nikki. I love these images from Dustin Pike. I used MME papers and prisma colours to colour in. I used some spare co-ordinations gemstone card and some knick knacks from the stash to embellish. All Stamps are from the high hopes range. I made a space scene using a graphics package. I attatched zeke using some acetate to give the illusion he is jumping in the sky as aliens do.

I had to laugh this morning as our neighbours are getting water in their flat (which of course is not funny) but the builders came round and it took them an hour to get the bath panel off only to find that it is not us causing the leak.

Mo's digital Pencil challenge - Colour combo

Well I must say I am having a love affair with Mo's digital pencil images. My blogging buddy Joey said it the other day on her blog but I am reaffirming it here. They are an absolute dream to colour.

The challenge at Mo's digital pencil is to use a colour combo. Not sure I got the colours exact, still had a good try. I decided to use Video boy. I thought this would be good for a teenager. I used my prismacolours to colour in the image (hair and skin and shadow are copics/promarkers) I made a background as I find it hard to leave white spaces. The papers I made on my craft studio and I also embossed some card.

Short and sweet

Hi there it is a cold, wet and dark day today. I have been at the school this morning my youngest daughter has a hearing test and it showed that she cannot hear lower tones so she will have to be retested in 6 weeks and possible refered to audiology. However it shows why she struggles with speech if it prooves conclusive that she cannot hear lower tones.

I have been busy with my prismacolours today and made this card for my lovely OH for Valentines day. I love gold and black together so these are the colours I used.
The gingham paper is from My craft studio back to basics and I created the floral paper on My craft studio. The image is Mo's digital pencil Jack and Ginger. The sentiment is computer generated. The embellishment is made using my slice. I brought the gingham ribbon from Simon says stamp and the prismacolours that I used to colour the clothes on the image. The skin and hair is promarker. The challenge I entered this into is Simon Says stamp . The challenge is to use a punch so out came my Martha stewart border punch.

Why don't you join in they are still looking for two new DT members. You never know could be you x

A spoonful of sugar - Lots of layers

Hi again a real crafty day for me even though the OH has gone to work I managed to make this one for a little boys birthday party we are going to. I got this image today with my birthday money. Another Mo's digital pencil image. Fantastic for a little boy.

The challenge I am entering this into is A spoonful of sugar which has a theme of Lots of layers. I used Matted and layered some blue cardstock and Basic Grey Marrakesh papers. I then coloured in my awesome image with prismacolours and I found that if you use a promarker on top it blends the prismas nicely. I used the blue cardstock with my nesties to make a frame. I then used my slice to cut out the corner and the number 5. I may add a sentiment but am undecided at the minute. I added some brads and some stickles to the image.

Passion for promarkers and Papertake Weekly

Hi there i have made this card today as it is my birthday I have been shopping at Mo's digital Pencil with my money and I have been crafting. What more could a girl want. Make sure you look at my previous post too as it is of the card my daughter made for me.

I am entering this into two challenges Passion for Promarkers who have an open colour challenge with "girls, girls, girls" as the theme. I have also used pink as Papertake Weekly has a theme of Pretty in Pink (one of my favourite films ever Ducky is just so sweet).

I used image from Mo's digital pencil. Mo is an outstanding illustrator so go and check out her shop. I used DCWV all dressed up papers. I added some bling and some ribbon. I also cut the sentiment Us using my slice. I coloured the image using promarkers and then added a background using my prismacolours.

It's my Birthday - Look what my princess made me x

Hello and good morning to everyone. It is my birthday today and I am having a wonderful morning. I received some beautiful cards in my postbox and some wonderful gifts. I got a Chamilia charm bracelet from OH and the kids brought me a beautiful Me to you ornament. I have some money too so I will be treating myself to some stash.

Here is a beautiful card that my daughter Georgina made for me.

Fresh Farm Friday - Use a photo on your project

Hello again I have decided to enter this card I have made for a friend into the Fresh Farm Friday challenge . I have used a picture of her farm on farmville (yes I am totally addicted.) I then used the gorgeous Greeting Farm stamp from the Rock the Farm set ( my first purchase sometime ago now ). I used some templates to create the scallop effect and I used some ribbon to tie the card as it gave a nicer effect than using a fold. I added a sentiment and used my slice to cut out my friends name. I sprayed the card with glitter spray and inked the edges of the frame to add some more interest.

Winter Wonderland DT card - Burgandy and Teal

Good morning to everyone the sun is shining and it has warmed up here in London considerably.

A new challenge over at Winter Wonderland this week we would love to see Burgandy and Teal in your christmas creations this week. As always the theme is open to your interpretation and creativity.

Also this week we are introducing our new DT members. It was such a hard decision for the Design team to make. It was decided by a vote and so we are offering Guest positions over the coming months to those who applied for the DT. It gives me great pleasure to say a big welcome to Sue and Danielle . I am so excited about working with these talented ladies.

For this card I used my slice machine to cut out the stars the scalloped oval and Noel. I used some digital design papers by Pink Petticoat for my backing papers and some ribbon from my stash.

Mo Mannings digital Pencil Challenge

Hi there I have had a busy day doing my housework and washing the bed linen. I have recovered from the woes of yesterday and I am looking forward to a fun weekend with my family.

I found this image at Mo's Digital Pencil and had to enter the challenge over at Mo's digital Pencil challenge . There is a lovely sketch to follow. I have turned the sketch as It fitted my image more appropriately. The image I used is Kai in the snow. Oh so adorable! I used promarkers and copics to colour in. I decoupaged the image to give it more depth. I used my cuttlebug folders to texture and emboss some white card and the paper is K and co.

Simon says stamp and Papertake Weekly

Hi there I have had a rollercoaster day of ups and downs. I got extremely upset by some of the staff at my childrens school who when I politely asked a question took it completely out of context. I managed to recover and get crafty and made a card for two challenges. Simon says stamp which is shabby chic and used the fab sketch from Papertake weekly .

The image is from funkykits and is just too darn cute. I used papers by pink petticoat they are a fab quality when you print them out. I also used a charm brought from Bunny Zoes craft . The ribbon is from my stash. I made the flower using flowers I cut on my slice machine. I added a spacer bead and a pearl gem. I distressed the edges of my papers with a nail file and added some stamping to the border of the card to complete my shabby chic baby card.

Hop over and check out the details of this call.

I used:

High hopes challenge - Bows

This card is for all Farmville fans (If you don't know then it is a very addictive game by zynga that is available on facebook). I made this card for the High hopes challenge which is to use bows on your cards. I wanted to show that bows can be on man cards too.

Today the snow is gradually turning to slush. I hate that it is such pretty stuff. I have been busy as my Jimmy is working the naffest hours ever. 1.30pm until whenever he arrives home. I will have to wake my little one in a minute to pick up the older kids from school. I hate waking them up when they are peacefully asleep.

I hope you are safe and warm and stocked up with goodies I hear there was a lot of panic buying out in the sticks x

I used:

Image - High hopes stamps
Papers- Dovecraft
Ribbon - stash
frame - made using the slice machine

Winter Wonderland DT - A sketch by Anne

Hi there a very cold good morning to you all. I expect it is like a little Winter Wonderland wherever you are here in the UK LOL x Years ago it was like this every winter and no one moaned or worried about grit or gas they just coped x In other nations they get on with life when it snows they don't find fault with everything or panic shop. What has become of our Britain where we just take the bulldog attitude and get on with things we are becoming right wusses x

Enough ranting, although I do love a rant. Here is my card for the DT over at Winter Wonderland challenge . The challenge is to use a sketch by Anne hop on over to the Winter Wonderland blog to find the sketch. I kind of stretched some of the elements to make the card work.

Here is a little list of things I used:

Image - Edwin from the Winter collection of Magnolia stamps (I love him) and the background is from Christine the sketching stamper ( I adore this scene). Sentiment Paperartsy
Papers - MME
Medium - Promarkers
Embellies - from stash

Daring Cardmakers - This months birthstone Garnet

Hello I wanted to get using my new slice machine so I have made this card for the Daring Cardmakers challenge which is to use:

The birthstone for the month of January is the
GARNET

This is my birthstone yes 11 days and counting till I am another year older. I used the slice for all elements on the card apart from the Martha Stewart doily lace punched borders. I added some gingham ribbon and some pearls. The papers are all K and Co.

Four challenges I think in one card x

Hiya started today with a high my lovely slice machine arrived and i have produced two cards already. I love it. I got it from a supplier called Smartcrafts it has the best prices for Die cutting equipment. The slice cartridges are under £30 here.

Then I got a call from the housing department at our local council they want me to bring in documentation to proove their imcompetency so I may get a bit of compo with any luck LOL x

Well then the day took a big turn for the worse as my partner came home and told me that the new firm want him to do 2.30 - 10 every day. Hello we have a family less said the better as I am still fuming about it x

Anyway I made this card for four challenges if it is not okay to combine challenges take me off the list.

No card just a quick hi hope you are safe and sound x

Hello I am sipping a glass of wine well I had to open a bottle to put in the Spaghetti Bolognese. So I thought I would hop on and say hi and just to say I hope everyone is safe and sound in this treacherous weather.

The kids went to school yesterday and today until 1 but the playground was only gritted today which I think was a complete joke as Health and safety and safteguarding is such a big thing these days. The forecast was for heavy snow so why did they not purchase some grit and put it down in advance.

I am waiting for my slice machine and the snow must be holding it up as it was dispatched early this week x I so cannot wait to play with this machine. I keep hoping it will come everyday. It will be my new best friend I just know it.

Well keep warm and safe and I hope to be back before the weekend with a card if my children let me go and play in my little craft space xxxxx

High hopes challenge 57 sketchy Time

Hi there it has been a long time since I joined in with the High hopes challenge but I decided to find time to do this today. There is a fantastic sketch to follow. I didn't give a card or present to my little boy Harry's friend recently as it was a short notice invitation so I decided to make this today so when they go back to school he can give it to his friend.

I use the knight and a background stamp from High hopes and I used papers recently purchased from Bunny Zoes crafts they are DCWV. I used the argyle cuttlebug folder to emboss the cardstock. The images are both coloured (not that well) with prismacolours.

Winter Wonderland DT - CInnamon, Berry and Lime

Hello and a Happy New Year from us all at Winter Wonderland . I hope you are all eeking out the festivities until tomorrow.

This week at Winter Wonderland the theme is a colour challenge. We have altered the way the blog runs for the first part of the year to incorporate other themes and we will be offering a colour choice or a sketch to work from and sometimes a theme. We are giving you the option to make a non christmas card if you so wish. I hope this makes sense. I write as I speak and I speak with very few commas LOLx

This week our colour combo is Cinnamon, Berry and Lime. A very festive combo as you will see if you pop over to the Winter Wonderland blog where the DT have done an amazing job. I hope you can find time to join us.

To make my card I used papers from K and Co. I used a large flower I cut out a circle and stamped the papermania let it snow stamp onto it. I used a nellies die cut on some burgandy card and put this under the circle. I also used a martha stewart punch on some burgandy card to make a border. I used some burgandy ribbon and a button to add some detail.

Well the sun is shining and we are all together today so hopefully we shall be out and about or just chilling together.

Happy 2010 to all my lovely friends here in blogland x

Hello this is the first post of 2010 from myself here at My Crafty Heaven. I would first and foremost love to wish you all a blissful 2010.

I had a lovely New Years Eve spent with a handful of friends at our church. We had lovely food, a bouncy castle for the kids. DVD,s and some music. It was a bit scary as we nearly set the church on fire with the halogen lights but luckily we smelt the burning paint before anything disatrous happened.

Here are just a microscopic insight into some of my New Years Resoloutions that I hope to keep.

* To get my baby into his own bed and out of Mummy and Daddy's.
* Too lose weight
* To try and save some money.
* To spend less time on the computer and more time with the family.
* To keep enjoying my crafting as much as I have in the last 18 months.
* To try and establish a small business using my crafting abilities (any tips welcome)
* To ensure that my daughter is accepted into a good secondary school as they are few and far between in this part of London.

Well I have caught up on some much needed sleep. My partner has had a transfer to a new firm under TUPE but it is not for us. He will have to stay until he gets a new job. Today he has to go to work for two and I have no idea what time he will come home. It is a 45 minute drive if the traffic is okay so it is not really appropriate. I think it would of been easier for the other firm to lay him off. Still we will have to stick at it to keep the money coming in.

So please if you pray please pray that the right job will come quickly. We do not mind a drop in salary and would love the job to be local. Many thanks xxxxxx

I have been busy making cards for the 12 days of sketches over at TGF. I wanted to share a few more of them with you.
