Stamptacular Sunday challenge - Sketch

Hi hope you are enjoying your sunday. I popped over to the Stamptacular Sunday challenge and was blown away by the DT's this week. I had to make this card.
I am covered in gesso, alcohol inks and stickles but hey so much fun.
I used my alcohol inks to create a background onto which I stamped my image ( can't recall supplier) I then gessoed some K&co papers and added distress inks and some more alcohol inks. I used some distress ink to ink the edges of the card and the papers and my lace. I added some stickles and some gems.

Colour Create - Coffee and cream

A very Happy Easter to you all!!!

Well thanks to the marvellous theme at colour create this week I managed to get my friends wedding card made hurray! The optional challenge is distressing. I had been mulling over an idea for the card and decided I would go with whatever the them was at colour create as this challenge gives you the option to use a variety of technique and style of card. So the theme is vintage for Anita's wedding card. I used a vintage image that I sprayed with a shine spray and then heat gunned. I then sprayed it again this caused a kind of distressed feel. I then chose some papers to match and created two hearts one I cuttlebugged with my congratulations folder and one I used some card I stencilled sprayed with glimmer mists. I cut out some frames with my nesties and distressed all the edges of everything on the card. I computer generated the sentiment. I made my bouquet and I also added some roses to the top corner. I also have decorated the inside that is my sneaky peek. I am hoping she likes it she has an Textiles Art degree so lots to live up to.

DCM - sponsered challenge sparkly and glittery

This is for the DCM challenge which in honour of fireworks night has a theme of sparkly and glittery. I am furiously making christmas cards from now until christmas. I downloaded these vintage angels free from http://www.craftycomputerpapers.co.uk/. I made a background using acrylic paper, a copper paint and created a texture using a comb. I then glimmer misted. I then distressed a diecut bauble and added a few sparkly bits and a hanging bit. I cut out a frame from the front of an old card and made a collage with the angels and various knick knacks from my stash. I then added some stardust pen highlights for the bling and glitter. The prize for this is a free download from charmed cards and crafts. I am really happy with my card. My twist on vintage!

Aubergine lady for Saturday sketch and This Thursday it's all about

http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/

http://thisthursday.wordpress.com/

I am entering this for 2 challenges the saturday sketch and this thursday it's all about stashraiders. I used somepapers I found in my drawer and co=ordinated the stamped image with them. I used acrylic paints to colur in this crafty individuals stamp. I made the embellishments to co-ordinate too. I love this stamp so I am glad I got to use her. Check out her fairy wings they are made with the papers I found.
It has been one of those days today. Knee high in washing, cleaning, clearing away. Jimmy took the kids out, so I could craft in peace and Harry managed to hit him in the face with a golf club, so he had to go to a&e whilst I dealt with Mayhem at home. Nevermind he's all fixed up now, Thank the lord.

Mixed Media Monday Nature

http://mixedmediamonday.wordpress.com/2008/09/01/nature/#comment-2373
I have decided to create a polymer clay photo tile project for this theme. I have been meaning to make something for my mum for a while. She loved the last one I made for her. I have used the following to make it. Polymer clay, A picture including all her grandchildren, skeleton leaves, liquid polymer clay, stamps by sculpey and elusive images, laminator an acrylic paints. The corners are leaves and I left the shape quite natural as the theme is nature. The skeleton leaves and flowers represent nature as do the next generation of the family nature is progressive. I hope you like it.

Dutch Dare challenge #12

I have made this card for the Dutch Dare challenge #12. The theme is card for a girl. I made this using a collage made up of printed images. I had so much fun looking at the magazines and choosing the images to add to the vintage lady image. I used glimmer mists on card and stamped and embossed with a sculpey texture lace design stamp. I then added a vellum quote to some of the glimmer misted card. I added a ribbon to make it really girly! I may give it to my sister in law for her birthday.

Dutch Dare Challenge #11

Hi this is my entry for the dutch dare challenge #11. I have made this get well card and added a citrus twist to the current vintage vibe. I have just discovered altered art and mixed media and so I am enjoying practising it. Here I have used collage and I stamped the flower and layered it.

My reminder list

I created this reminder list inspired by a project I saw on Kaths blog http://kath-allthatglitter.blogspot.com I created this reminder list yesterday evening. I created a background using glitter mists, stencils and acrylic paint. I then stamped on the wording using elusive image stamps . I then stamped some flowers ( elusive image stamps) onto a glitter mist background and cut them out. I created the reminder list on a graphics package. I then stuck it on. I then added the flowers and laminated. I used the crop-a-dile to punch holes and fix the eylets added a piece of leather with beads on and there it is. Ready to hang in my kitchen.

Monday Mixed Media challenge Numbers

I made this card, for my friend ,who gave birth yesterday to a baby boy. I am still new to the mixed media technique so this is a first time card. I hope to get lots of practise of this technique. I put lush on the baby vest as my friend is welsh and lush is used in Wales to describe something lovely or great or cute etc.

A collage Pendant/ Monday Mixed media challenge fashion

I have been inspired by the mixed media work I have been viewing on some inspirational blogs.
I decided to create this Polymer clay necklace with laminated vintage lady embellishment. I spritzed with glimmer mists. I used a mixture of clays and imprinted the rolled out clay with a sculpey textures stamp. I cut out a circle. I then laminated the glimmer misted image of the vintage lady and cut her out and added to necklace. I die cut some backing paper and put it on with liquid clay.
I then added jump rings and sandwiched them between 2 circles of clay. I then baked. I added some yellow/gold acrylic paint and then I glossed the pendant and added an antique chain.
This all came from a sketch I did in the morning.
I layed the piece on a backing paper I designed. I thought it complemented the colours I used.

Using up the leftovers

After a lovely night out I promised Jayne I would send her some photo's of the kids. I made this little card to put them in. I have been inspired by all the lovely vintage work that is around on peoples blogs. I used up the leftovers from the Artzy girlz challenge #47. I kind of wish I could of entered this one for that challenge instead.

Artzy girlz challenge #48

Shapes. Ok so I lied about a non crafty day! I am off out to see a friend tonight so I rose to the challenge of designing a craft using shapes and came up with this necklace made from polymer clay stamped with sculpey texture makers then cut into a circle and a heart, a border of bugle beads some liquid polymer clay and baked. When cooked I added some acrylic paint a black/bronze and some gloss varnish. I think it has that current vintage feel about it. I added a silver chain to modern it up a bit. I will be the bell of the ball I hope!

Arty Girlz Challenge No. 47

No patterned paper only hand designed paper not shop brought. I created the paper using printer paper that I sprayed with glimmer mists I used vintage colours so that is why I chose a vintage graphic to print onto paper and spray with glimmer mist.
I let that dry then I chose one colour to make a background using an elusive image stamp ( Ruby Tuesday design a flower collection) I used black stazon and printed randomly. I then created a 3D flower using the same image stamped on to different colours.
I stamped a thank you banner matted and layered everything and added a ribbon to cheer the card up. I loved designing this. I love the image it is so adorable.
