Daring Cardmakers Challenge -The Sound of Music

I am entering this card into the Daring Cardmakers challenge which is "I want you to design a card which is 'Musically inspired'. Anything goes, whether you use musical paper, or an image of instrument - or even song lyrics."
I love this new gorjuss girl and I wanted to use the lyric in a previous card but didn't quite know what to do. I wanted to show that a sympathy card does not necessarily have to be plain and simple. Forgive me if you believe that they should be.
I used the gorjuss girl from set two. I used H20's and copics to colour. I added a frame with the lyrics in. I stamped the hearts with some foam stamps I made. I added the paper and ribbon.

Sketch Saturday meets Colour Create challenge

The sketch I used is from sketch saturday . I flipped it. I used the colour scheme from Colour create which is to use blue and green. The optional extra is to use paperpiecing. I paperpieced Miss Anya's outfit and her hairband. She reminds me of a diva so I used this as my sentiment.

Friday Sketchers

Friday sketchers are celebrating this week so there are lots of prizes on offer so pop over and check out the gorgeous sketch for this week as there are lots more opportunities to get a little something. I made this card using monochrome as I love the effect it gives and need to practise the colouring technique. I used a gorjuss girl from set two and some papers by Basic Grey and doodlebug designs. I also used some flowers by imagincense and used promarkers to colour the image,a black outliner and a white gelly pen. I added a fairly generic sentiment so as not to limit the purpose of the card.
We are off to a party for a friends 10 year old boy later so I may try and get a card or too in before we go will see how good time is to me.

sketch saturday meets Colour Create

Having been to the wedding bash yesterday I am a bit behind with challenges so I have had to start combining them today. Well first post today is for fave sketch blog Sketch Saturday I decided to combine it with Colour create whose challenge is Pink, white and black and to incorporate polka dots if you wish too. Now I have been quite radical here and I flipped the sketch and popped it on a circle card.

I felt a buzz of creativity this morning following a bit of country goodness yesterday! Th beautiful surroundings of yesterday just perked me up no end. I have had a restful morning watching the Shanghai Grand Prix and Jimmy has taken the babes out so I can have a few hours peace!!

The card is coloured with copics and I also coloured in my dots with copics on the ribbon. I used doodlebug papers and cuttlebugged some bassil bling card stock. The image is a download ( holly and Madison) available at charmed cards and craft.

Club Anya Rockin Rebel! Tonight I'm going to be Amy Winehouse!!!

Hi a late one for me. I have made a card for the club anya challenge which is to make a rockin rebel out of all your greeting farm stamps. I made the most current British rockin rebel Amy Winehouse. I used Angel Anya and Ian from Rock the farm. I used the hair from Ian and Angel Anya for Amy's famous beehive and Angel anya for the rest of her. I made her into the cover of Rolling stone Magazine as she has been on the front cover. I took inspiration from her album title "Back to black" and used just black and white. If you have some Anya or Greeting farm stamps check out the challenge as it is real fun and the other entrants and the Design teams are all fab!

Men never ask them to do something! oh and Sketch Saturday

Well bless him.....we needed a sideboard out of ikea. We went a few weeks back and picked it out. He went to get it today and picked the wrong colour up!!! We are gonna keep it cos when we move it won't matter that it is the wrong colour. The thing is he asked me last night what colour and I told him and he still didn't get it. They could never be domestic goddesses! He he. I have made this very vibrant card for the saturday sketch challenge. I used gorjuss girl stamp and I added the little cat. I like the way he is peeping over the flowers and she is emerging from the flowers. I ordered some copics and they have just arrived so the next card will feature these.
