Friday sketchers
This is the sketch at Friday sketchers this week. It was designed by Kristine. It is a great sketch and I decided to make a boy baby card. Those of you who read my posts regularly will know that I have lots of pregnant friends and a lack of cards. I always like to have at least 3/4 spare baby cards available. Here it is.I used the versitile Basic Grey "Granola" papers once more. I stamped my new Forvever Friends image and coloured him with a mixture of promarkers and brush pens. I used my nestibilities to create a frame for him. I cut out two squares and tied together with gingham ribbon. I then created my sentiment. Part of which will make up the image. I then made a DL card and added some backing papers. Fininshing touch and always great on a baby card, some buttons!

Basic Grey Challenge - Use chipboard
I coloured my Leanne Ellis "wish" stamp last night, for the first time and this is what happened. I have been eyeing up the stamp for a long time. I need practise as always. I decided to use her for thisBasic Grey challenge. I used chipboard hearts one I coloured with promarkers and added some leather and the other 2 I covered with "granola" papers. I used coredination card for the layering.
2 in one - Sketch Saturday and Charisma cardz challenge!
Hi again, I have combined Charisma card challenge and sketch saturday to make this baby card. I have short supply of baby cards and I have lots of pregnant friends. I really enjoyed working with the sketch and I loved using my new forever friends stamp for the first time. I used brush pens to colour it in. The challenge at charisma cards is pink which I am using a lot of at the moment so again it was just fun, fun, fun!!!!

An award and Penny Black Challenge - Pink and Brown

Hello on this cold and wintery morning!!!! Yes even London is freezing today. I had a lovely surprise when I logged on this morning my crafting friend Lorraine all the way over in Gozo has awarded me this lovely award . Please click on her name and go over to see her wonderful blog. I am passing this too all my followers as they are all as awesome as one another!
I am so chuffed and it matches the challenge at Penny Black Challenge this week. I have made the card using this versatile cutie hedgie. I used papermania simply elegant(now a firm favourite of mine) papers layered with normal cardstock and cordinations. I cuttlebugged some pink card and inked with a marvy pen. I added a prima flower and gem and chipboard sentiment. Click on the image to get a better look! I used a water colour technique for the background from a tutorial by the lovely Chris

Cute card Thursday
The challenge over at Cute card Thursday is to create a card with something you got or brought over the christmas break. Well I brought quite a few goodies as a final splurge before my partners redundantcy starts. I brought this adorable sugar nellie stamp and the cordination card and the papermania papers. I have used brush markers as watercolours to colour in Summer Ice cream and I used some embellishments and ribbon from the stash. I have a purple thing going on at the moment. I am quite excited as yesterday I got a bonus for my little partime job. I am a rep for an agency called Women Like us. 7 people from my childrens centre signed up last term so I exceeded my target. This means I got £15.00 of pampering goodies(a tad upset that it is not £15.00 of crafty goodies myself).

Whiff of Joy - Sketch #13

This is my entry for the Whiff of Joy challenge. I have purchased these stamps very recently and this is my first attempt at using them. I think they are beautiful to use. I have made a generic card and therefore I have not added a sentiment. I used the cuttlebug to emboss some cordinations card which I then sanded. I used some basic grey backing paper. I coloured the image using brush pens, pro markers and sakura sardust pens. I used a ribbon and brads from the stash to complete my card.
A spoonful of sugar - Sketch
This week at A spoonful of sugar the challenge is a sketch. I have flipped the sketch and I used a beautiful Sugar Nellie stamp which arrived yesterday. I used papermania paper and some chipboard letters. The flowers are prima and I put on some sequins to glam them up. I coloured in using a mixture of brush pens and promarkers. The ribbon is from the stash. It is the first time I have entered this challenge. I loved the sketch. I have been to my friends today for a haircut and I feel like a new woman

Papertake Weekly - Spots
I am freezing!!!!! My feet feel like icicles. I don't normally feel the cold, so it must be cold. The kids are back so have had a bit of time for a challenge or two. My lovely partner Jimmy had gone to pick them up now. Just a couple of mentions check out Craft Stamper this month. Among some brilliant articles there is a publication of a tag made by the lovely Dawn . Also go and check out the lovely Kim who is Cardmaker of the year for Papercraft Essentials.

I made this for the Papertake weekly challenge. The theme is seeing spots and this is to include spots and or cirlces in your design. I am low on baby cards so took the opportunity to make one.

Arty girls challenge -Anything but a card
The challenge at arty girlz this week is to create anything but a card!!
To satisfy my addiction to colouring in Tilda's I made this calender for my daughter. When we get rehoused she wants a green, pink and black room. Infact she has designed it....chip off the old block.......I got the calendar off a google search. Cut it out and layered onto card. I stuck December to the backing paper and then stapled all the other months on top, so we can pull them off. I coloured in Tilda with promarkers and placed her in the frame. I created the background using papermania papers and some green paper from my stash and stuck Tilda on. I then laminated the background. I stuck the calender on top of the laminated background so next year it can be used again. You never know how long we are gonna wait to be housed!!!!
I then added prima flowers. I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes and place eyelets and used some ribbon to make the calender into a hanging calender.

Magnolia meets Stampavie challenge - Thank You sketch

Hi hope you all had a good weekend! This is my entry for the Magnolia meets stampavie challenge . It is a Thank you sketch and it was lovely to work with. I had coloured this Tilda earlier in the week. As some of you know I have become a bit obsessed recently. I created a background to the frame using stamps from The English Stamp company. I coloured in the frame with my black promarker as it did not match the papers originally. I used papermania papers and I added a Thank you sentiment as your card must be a Thank you card. I did some paper folding to make the bunch of flowers. I also cut a strip to cover the paper join using my cuttlebug and my sizzix die. I cut out a daisy and used some stickles to add interest.

Penny Black challenge - Embossing
The theme over at the Penny Black Challenge is to emboss on your project. I have used the Basic Grey Granola papers again, as they are great for both sexes and are just lovely. I used embossing powders on the stamped image, used the heat gun and coloured in the image. I embossed one of my granola papers using the cuttlebug. I then added a versatile sentiment.
