Winter Wonderland DT - A Victorian Christmas

Good Morning a very Happy Mothers Day to all of you lovely ladies out there this morning. Relax and make lots of cards. I am off out so I will be doing the relaxing but not the cardmaking. My Mum is working so we are going to see my sister in law who is going to be one of my daughters godmothers.
It is my turn to set you a challenge at "WinterWonderland" I have chosen "A Victorian Christmas" with the optional theme of distressing.

You are welcome to interpret the theme in which ever way you wish. Perhaps you could recyle an old christmas card, use a victorian image, distress a modern image to make it look Victorian.

This week we are sponsored by Regina at the Cutting Cafe who is so kindly sponsoring us with three of her digital files as a prize.

Before we made the DT call last week we asked the very lovely Marianne from Marianne's Craftroom to join our DT so please pop over to Marianne's blog and give her a big welcome.

There are also three lovely ladies who answered our DT call and are now officially joining our family over at Winter Wonderland please hop over to their blogs and give them a warm welcome

Hop over to Winter Wonderland as the DT cards are amazing this week.

I used an image I grabbed as a freebie and cannot remember from where now. I used my Helix craft board to make it into a pyramage style of card. I used distress ink and crackle glaze to make the image look old. I used MME Bella Bella papers. to make the background onto which I stamped swirls, A postage style sentiment, and used a clarity stamps corner stamp to add the floral edging.

I added some lace, roses and pearls from my stash. I added some distress ink over the top of the whole card.

This is a really pretty card and the shimmer on the image is gorgeous and brilliant idea to layer it up like that too.
