Sweet Pea Stampers - Use your favourite Stamp

Hello again. This is my DT card for the Sweet Pea Stampers challenge blog. I have to say a big thank you to all of the fantastic DT girls who have been keeping the blog going in my absence. I love you all and you really have done me proud over these past few weeks.
The theme this week is Use your favourite Stamp. For me this was a really hard decision as I just love too many of these stamps. So I decided to pick a stamp from the new artist Terra Bidlespacher's  that has caught my eye called Terra Bidlespacher's Flutters. I coloured with promarkers and kept a very fresh colour scheme. I used the gorgeous Martha Stewart punch and I used some papers from my shop Pascale's PAD.
I am off to do my nursing duties and sort the kids out so enjoy your evening and thanks so much for stopping by. Sorry I am a really slack commenter of late xxx

Thanks for stopping by today I really appreciate your time and comments. I hope you are inspired too. Hugs Pascale

He's Coming Home....!!!

Morning a bright and cheery one for me today as later on my GORGEOUS JIMMY is coming home!!! He is going to be medicated at home by Medicare so they will be coming three times a day and I will have to administer all the oral drugs inbetween his intravenous ones. We are getting a sharps box and everything. Do you think I should buy a nurses outfit?
I am bring to you my first DT card of the day for the wonderful Delicious Doodles Challenge there is a great prize on offer so go over to the blog for all the details.
I liked this challenge set for us this week as it involved lots of creativity. We had to make our own buttons. The DT have come up with some simply gorgeous buttons. I made mine using some paper flowers. that I glued together and then I added some glossy accents and distress crackle. Once it dried I added some holes using my a punch and some ribbon.
I created the card using my craftartist program from serif software. I used the photo cutout feature to cut out Teri's stunning image called Sweet Shamrock Fairy you can get her here along with a host of other gorgeous digital stamps. I added some floral and butterfly detail and some shadows from the digital  elements available on the program.
I coloured in the image using promarkers the dress I wanted to match to the main butterfly so I mixed a yellow and blue to create the same look. I love this fairy but I won't be giving any St Patricks day cards. This is why I coloured in the shamrocks in pink and added a centre of stickles to them so they became flowers.
Looking forward to seeing your creations this week. I will be back later with my Sweet Pea Stampers DT card.

Close up

Combining images

As some of you may know I have had my partner in hospital for a while with a Brain Abscess and Chronic Media Otis with Cholestema. I haven't had a lot of time to make physical cards but I have had a great deal of fun destressing on the computer making digital cards. There is GREAT NEWS Jimmy is hopefully coming home to be treated by medihome on Friday so I am such a happy bunny xxx
I made this completely flat card a while ago whilst playing with the latest Serif software Craft Artist Platinium. I really wanted to share it with you.

I have used two fantastic images from Teri's fantastic shop Delicious Doodles. The images are Mushroom Fairy and Fern. There are no physical elements to this card. I used my graphics program and elements from digikits available with the Craft Artist Platinium to create all the layering and embellishing. I watercoloured the image with Aquamarkers. I also added some sakura stardust pen.

Thanks for looking! Hugs Pascale

I'm engaged only had to wait 15 years....

Hi there I thought I would post this card I made for the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge. This was for the Glitz and Glamour challenge. The current challenge is a fantastic sketch by Vanessa. I didn't manage to make a card for that one.
We are currently holding a DT call so please hop over and check it out if you love Sweet Pea Stamps and want to part of a really friendly DT xxx
I watercoloured this gorgeous Ching Chou Kuik image from Sweet Pea Stamps . I used the Hunkydory Spring Elegance kit to make the card. I used one of the aperture cards to frame the image and a sentiment and die cuts to frame her.

I have some really exciting news to share with you all too. I proposed to Jimmy yesterday as we have been together for nearly 15 years and he has never popped the question. Well he said yes. I bottled out of getting down on 1 knee but I took him a single red rose but had to bring it home as the hospital won't let you put flowers on the ward.
I am really excited and am now hunting for the perfect dress he he xxx

Thanks for stopping by today I really appreciate your time and comments. I hope you are inspired too. Hugs Pascale

Sorry for my absence but my partner nearly died a few weeks ago ...

Hi these past few weeks have been the worst I have ever faced in my life. My partner was admitted to hospital four weeks ago with a supposedly severe ear infection. Having been to see 4 different GP's, had an ambulance called and two visits to A&E.
He failed to improve. He was seen by ENT who syringed his ear and gave him antibiotics and he continued to stay in hospital. His is leg started moving involuntarily after 3 days of being in hospital and they told him it was anxious leg despite the fact we kept telling them he wasn't worried.
They were trying to get him up to walk so that they could send him home but we later found out that he was showing signs of epilepsy and stroke. I was quite angry and upset.  The nurse looking after him said she wanted an MRI before he was discharged (Praise God for her). This was on the Tuesday. I took the kids up and they saw their Daddy in a lot of distress. He was in the MRI for a long while finally he came out. The doctor who had told me it was only anxious leg looked to be furiously trying to sort something out and it was then I knew the news  wasn't going to be good news.
I braced myself. His meal was coming and they said No food. I knew that moment that this was far worse than we could ever of expected.
She ushered the kids into the staff room with an auxillary nurse and told me and Jimmy the worst news. He had Mastioditus (Ear infection that instead of coming out the ear goes into the mastiod bone) that had subsequently caused a brain abcess and two collections of the bacteria in the brain as it had not been diagnosed correctly. The anxious leg was a sign of epilepsy.
That night he was in HDU Neurology in a bad way. They drained one abcess and next day he was transferred to another hospital to have a 4 and half hour opertaion on his ear which will have to be operated on again in 6 months. The thing that saved his life apart from lots of prayer is that we have antibiotics. The night he was transfered to ENT for the ear op he was hanging with us by a thread I was so scared.
I have left out lots of detail here but I wanted to give you an idea of what the past few weeks have been like for me.
I have hope he will recover 100% as he is doing mighty well on the antibiotics he will be in hopsital for at least four more weeks as the anti biotics are super strong
If you are still with me here is my card for the Delicious Doodles challenge which this week has a great easy theme of Valentines day.
The card is completely digitally created except the colouring of the beautiful Delicious Doodles image which is called Cross and Roses.
